TRD dual exhaust

The said national back order and no current date. He told me he only had three orders for the exhaust and none has shipped?

 

Ordered with a delivery date of tomorrow at my dealership. They are adamant that it won’t fit but we will have to prove them wrong.

 

I’d love to know how you did that. Mine will not come out from under the truck.

 

So I learned that if you have the suspension loaded up in the rear it makes the clearance window smaller. If you hack the truck up from the driver side frame just under the rear of the cab you can get the exhaust in and out no problem

 

I'm sure I just got lucky, but not calling them and just placing the order, worked out lol

 

I just got a new 2023 1794 with the TRD Off-Road package, and I just added the manual bed step. Has it been confirmed there's enough clearance for the TRD dual exhaust tips and the bed step? Thanks!

 

Rumor has it the hanger can be bent to make it clear. I can’t confirm tho.

 

As long as it's the manual step you should be fine. The issues were with the power bed step of I'm not mistaken

 

Seconding this question. Would like the trd exhaust tips but want to make sure it clears that step.

 

What is everyone doing with the old exhaust? Mines just sitting in the box in the truck bed...I’m just looking to recycle or donate it.

I ordered the TRD exhaust from my local dealer last week, came in yesterday. Little more $ than Sparks, but they came close to matching.

Since I was at the shop today - for the safety COMPUTER RECALL, I had them installed the exhaust.. looks great! and sounds a touch better I guess.. I have the TRD air filters as well, turbos sound great when opening up!

Also had them installed the Cornfed 1” to the rear to level out from RC 1.75 level. Looks much better!!

 

Yes! I’ve tried but no luck, according to Toyota online parts it’s on National back order, on top of that the online sites does not recognize my 2023 model as well as my vin number

 

I have an order with two dealers for the blck dual exhaust. Hopefully, something soon! Might try ordering the chrome version if I don't hear anything in the next month or so.

At first, the online sites didn't recognize my VIN but now they do.

It will fit. The dealer will show it not being a compatible part. Give the. The part number direct and have them order it. Chrome was in stock. Not sure about the black chrome

 

Anybody else still waiting for these? I placed my order over a month ago with Lewis Toyota of Topeka. Called they said it's still on backorder.

I ordered the chrome version this morning. Hopefully it’s not backordered!

 

I placed an order for the black tips, supposedly till 5/23 is it supposed to arrive….

 

FWIW I ordered the chrome version last week and it arrived yesterday. Toyota of Killeen

I was torn between the the two, but the chrome gives a nice and subtle accent to the midnight black. Excuse the filthy truck and terrible photo!

I got a response from Lewis Toyota. Not sure I understand it

"Hello,

We are unable to ship part #PT226-34220-00 as it is too large. Please let us know if you would like us to cancel that part from you order, or cancel your entire order."

 

What!? That's ridiculous

 

They just told me it was on back order when i called, but that was a week or two ago.

I got the very same response when I "bought" my exhaust from some dealer online. Price was great, shipping was even better ........... no wonder they cancelled with the same reason, as they'd probably eat a lot of (or all) profit on shipping.
That is, if they had this available for sale at all.

Slightly unrelated, but I'm sort of glad I ended up not getting it. Reconsidered, and I am now waiting patiently for Borla.
They never disappointed me, and I hope for respectable sound from their system, whenever it actually comes out.

 

When I ordered the chrome version I got it next day. Regional inventory is all that matters.

 

I ordered from Bighorn Toyota in Glenwood Springs CO last Thursday. It shipped from the PDC in Kansas City and was available for a Monday the 17th pickup. I think the size question refers to the box as size matters if being shipped from a dealership for freight cost. ( I ran PDC's for another manufacturer for years.) They are available, i ordered the chrome tips. Hope this helps

 

From reading the replies here, sounds like maybe only the black tipped is on back order.
