What did you try to even them out? Mine was dealer installed and the passenger side is over an inch lower, very noticeable. When I brought it up to them, they just said that's how it comes and showed me a couple of trucks on the lot that looked the same. I let it go then, but it still bugs me.

you can get a new rubber hanger for the passenger side. a new one wont be as stretched out and may bring it up a little bit.

    here is the part number:

Curious - can you tell us what the part number is for this exhaust?

    I'm assuming it's PTR03-34160...but I want to be certain.

    THANKS!

The tailpipe and muffler are connected by flanges and 3 bolts (14mm) and when loosened, there is quite a bit of play and movement. Try loosening the bolts, pull down on the tailpipe at the flange (will raise the opposite end) and then tighten the bolts.

Put a hose clamp around the rubber hanger and tighten it up. It will compress the rubber slightly and make it a little less forgiving on bumps, but works. I did this on my 350z with the Nismo exhaust. Been that way for 9 years now with no problems and it's lowered and a bumpy ride. One side was about a 1/2" to 3/4" lower until I put the clamp on.

Let me know if it works. I've got the TRD pipes section sitting in the garage. Waiting to buy the muffler section. Imagine I may run into the same issue once I go to install it. Sounds to be like a common issue...

I was actually getting ready to install mine now, but thought I would run to the car wash first to clear away all the dirt and mud clumps. Now it's too hot to touch. I wasn't thinking.

I am thinking I am going to hold off on the install and order a new hanger for the passenger side first. I can see already if I don't, there will be a problem getting both sides to match.20170914_195857.jpg

^^ Yeah that's probably a good call. Reusing the passenger side hanger obviously would be stretched out over time holding the stock exhaust. A new one "should" make them the same on both sides??

sorry, I don't have those numbers. I threw away those bags months ago.

EDIT.... actually, I have the high res versions of those pictures. I bet I could enlarge them and get the numbers off the bags. I will check later today when I get home from work.

EDIT (again).... one of those bags is the hanger kit:

Call your local Toyota dealer and just buy the exhaust hardware kit from them rather than paying for shipping and waiting. I don't think you can buy the heat shield separate front the the exhaust kit. Just use your stock one and you'll be fine or make one yourself. The other bag are the bolts n nuts with the gaskets. I bought mine use too from CL and the gaskets where still in good condition.

the TRD site claims 5-10 HP/TQ increase. but who knows... it is impossible to tell without a dyno. but it sounds better than the stock pipes and that's why I did it.

Thanks. I wonder if there is one comparable but less expensive. I have so much I want to do that I need to watch my cost. Lol. Like replace head unit, replace chrome grill and etc.
