need some help. Thinking of getting a TRD cold air intake unit or BS cold air intake. I had a Volant on my 2013 Tundra liked it but wanted to try something else. I have a TRD dual exhaust already and wanted to know should I stay all TRD but kinda like the BS filtration system as it’s a dual cone vrs TRD flat filtration?

I have the S&B, it's make the truck sound great as for performance they all (all brands) claim increase HP torque fuel mileage I haven't seen any, save your money just buy a drop in filter

So your leaning towards B&S over the TRD? I’m willing to spend $$$

B&S? Is that Briggs and Stratton? I wouldn't think that's an upgrade or "$$$" .

I have the TRD CAI and yes, it sounds cool but worth $400? Hell no, mine just came with it on

I can see keeping the TRD "look" maybe, otherwise use your clams for something else. I were ever to change out OEM cai it would be for a S&B due to having best proven filtration qualities.

    Not enough space here...
Your truck has a cold air intake already, stock. Just put a drop in afe dry filter in it and do the SABM. That's your best bet. Otherwise you are just wasting your money. Its been dyno proven.

Most of the decent aftermarket cai's make the sound you are looking for.

    The main redesign
*is a single box versus a 2 pc unit to keep our engine heat
*the top clear cover has a better seal
*the intake tube is a one pc.
Think we are the 1st guys to preorder

Do you know someone there or just emailing them?

Looks like it says not carb legal. I wonder if they will still ship it to CA.

Sorry from Hawaii not sure about Cali. At least you don’t have to deal with “RECON” pain in the ass just to make it legal to drive on the road

I mentioned somewhere else on the forum that S&B made air filters for the Abrams tank for the middle east ops. Choppers too if I'm not mistaken. You don't get that kind of mil contract if your filters suck.

    Thanks for the referral :fistbump:

S&B however is an incredibly strict manufacturer when it comes to the pricing of their products. For S&B if I even look at the discount button an arm reaches out from the screen and back hands me
All jokes aside, S&B makes a very nice and well made CAI but I sadly can't even take a penny off the price :(
