    So, two questions;
    - How thick is the hood vinyl? I've got a spot on my hood where some bird %@#! ate through my clear coat enough that it is rough to the touch. Do you think the vinyl would be thick enough to bridge this gap and not accentuate the problem? I'd rather pay $85 and make my truck look better than $500 to get my hood corrected.
    - My truck is 2 years old and I've got the original TRD decals on currently. At what point does sun fading kick into some degree and will make it noticeable if I remove my original bed decals? Similarly, if I changed my mind on the hood vinyl and wanted to remove it?

    120% yes. Would love to do something like this for ya. Probably wouldn’t be a 1 day job but if you are interested, we can make it happen.

    The fade is dependent on the color of the paint. You are pretty safe in 2 years. Might notice some slight shine from the spots for a few weeks but then it will fade away. Black fades fastest. Hood decal would show imperfections, but with a matte finish it would cut down the reflections.

    @BeachyTundra also.... 500$ for paint correction on your hood is a total ripoff. I’d seek out another shop or buy a 250$ buffer and do it yourself! It’s satisfying, I promise.

    Sadly, I believe it's deep enough that it needs to be touched-up and re-sprayed. If it was a simple buff out, I would entirely agree with you.

    Looks like someone's getting their Matte Black Hood Inlay when they get home from work today...:yes:
    I plan to install it this weekend and will post up some pictures. I can't believe more people haven't jumped on Matt's offer.:boink:

    I think it would look good to have a matching matte black strip on the tailgate too. Basically the opposite of this one (having the vinyl in the lower section of the tailgate). @DecalsByDesign - you wouldn't happen to have any of these lying around would you?..:rolleyes:

    A good way to make your truck stand apart. I’d like to see the decal on the tailgate and the TUNDRA letters left white to see if they would show up.

    Got mine in! Hoping to install tomorrow. I’ve done a couple very small vinyl installs using wet method...can I use that on this as well?

    Looks good! I'll be doing my hood inlay tomorrow late afternoon. A little nervous since I haven't installed anything that big before. It's an expensive piece and I don't want to mess it up. :fingerscrossed:

    Or a gold like color would also look good a matte gold, or a semi gold do you have sample colors? I have been thinking about this for a while. Would also like to color the badges to match the vinyl

    It wasn’t bad, just make sure you habe a heat gun or a blow dryer. And heat it up as you peel slowly.

    Got mine done today. Biggest time sink was getting all the residue from the old sticker off with goo gone, but we got there- it looks awesome!
