I purchased the TRD filters for the two air boxes and they didn’t come with the oil kit they used to sell them with. The dealer said it was not recommended. I just cleaned the filters with water the other day and I’m curious if it’s ok to reinstall without out putting any oil on them or if it’s really not necessary

It’s pre oil already but for old used that’s been washed you can use KN oil. Same stuff or cooking oil might work.

The oil is what helps capture particulates. Without the oil you have a pretty crappy filter. They sell refill kits to reoil the filters just go with the filter brand if you know the brand.

If you don't want an oiled you can go with a dry filter instead but I wouldn't repurpose an oiled filter as a dry one it wont filter much for you.
