Ive been looking at that as well. Ive been following the thread, but it makes my brain hurt and I don't really know whats going on. A lot of people want some complicated stuff. I just want gear lock with overall better shifting while towing. And maybe a 91 octane tune.

I'm with ya. I would just hope they have the process for dummies to do it because I have no clue about this stuff . But they are saying they have great customer service.

So I got rid of my 17 footer and got a slightly bigger one at 33 and a half foot. And so far I have got better fuel economy with it then my small one. Bit I think its do to the fact that my small one had the flat front end and the new one has a curved nose. Snapchat-890603651.jpg 20190403_002809.jpg

I’m here researching my next truck, a 4x4 Tundra. But I am currently driving a 2017 2wd Nissan Titan. Its got a beast of a motor yet gets very good mileage for a pickup when it’s empty and I’m on the 65 mph highways I drive a lot. It’ll get 20-22 mpg in perfect conditions. I also have a little Bass Tracker aluminum boat, the “package” weight, boat, motor and trailer is about 1500 pounds, add 200-300 for fuel, gear, tackle, etc. I’ll use 1800 pounds for comparison, and it blocks almost no wind compared to a camper. My 20 mpg immediately falls to 11-13 with boat. I admit I haven’t made any long trips with the boat, but the mileage is just killed by the boat and in just driving the truck you feel very little difference.

As for mileage - you can see my total average in my signature. That includes 3 fill ups when pulling the trailer. My normal MPG in town runs around 14. Open road I've gotten around 18 average.
My truck is a simple SR5 with the TRD Off-Road package. Trailer is now (after trimming back some stuff that it carries) around 6400lbs. Trailer kills the mileage down to around 8-10mpg depending on hills or flatland and running 60mph.

We took a trip from colorado springs up to glacier and back through Yellowstone and the tetons this summer. 2200 miles towing a 2015 starcraft ar-one 16 bh. Total weight of trailer fully loaded with water and gear is 3550lbs. Averaged 8.9 mpg hand calculated for the trip. ( picture is at a blm site between the east entrance to yellowstone and Cody Wyoming)

Is that a 287QBS? We just got back from a 700 miles round trip today with our Bullet 287 and had a great time. No issues, except for sensitive brake controller. We had tail winds going up hill and averaged 11 mpg and headwinds and cross winds heading home and averaged 8mpg.

Just starting to look into travel trailers. This is the one that is getting most of my attention along with the Starcraft 19bh. Looked at certain jaycos as well but interior height was too low since I’m 6’3”.

Looking for a semi off-road capable single axel with no slides that can sleep at least 4 adults. Thoughts?

Personally I would buy that one. They kinda sold me on the all pvc roof. That's something new but I am a plumber and you will be able to count on that pvc for yrs to come

When I was looking, the Nobo looked pretty good. It was more than we wanted to spend. Now I regret and wish I got something I really wanted.

I get 8-10 mpg towing a 31’ TT. Keep it around 63-65 and keep it easy in the gas. When the weather temp is hot I run premium gas.
