    You could always experiment with 2WD and lower tire pressure, then if you feel you have inadequate traction, switch over to 4WD. I personally wouldn't run it in 4 high under those conditions, but that's just me.

    Just getting started
    I've resorted to 4hi, no trailer...spreads 15-25 mph. Trailer, 4lo speeds 8-10 mph. Should work out fine.

    Hope this is helpful. Literally NO ONE I know and wheel with dies 4lo in the beach.....but with the trailer....it all made sense

    RCI aluminum front skid, Timbren rear bumpstops, Carhartt seat covers and cargo area cover, Weathertech floorliners, Hewitt SAIP bypass, genuinecoolingsystems trans cooler, Lexus front diff fill/drain plugs
    All of the Toyota's I've owned lock out the OD gears in 4LO if you're in D. You can select 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and stay in that selection range. Max speed maybe 35-40mph without OD gears involved.

    I also read about the 2019+ Toyota trucks locking the trans more often in order to keep the pan temps down to "expected operating temperature range". Manipulating software is slick, but to me basic over-engineered cooling capacity is better.
