How hard should the rods that go into the transfer case from the actuator be to move in and out. And what is the timing for the actuators. Thanks

It's been a long day chasing wires I had a burnt wire in a connector under the brake booster not sure if that was even it! avt007 has good info #8 and #12 post. I reset the hi low ( bottom cover) by hand since I already had it off, up top I put a jumper on one and two also a jumper wire from 4 to 5 ( some one recommended) and with my trickle charger on 12v gently touched 1pos. 2neg until the motor moved but just started to bind up and I noticed it was still engaged(front drive shaft turning) so I said what the hell and reversed polarity on 1 an 2 the motor ran , I let off as soon as I could here it bind up a little I stopped the voltage and wo la ! Dis engadegd I spun everything cuz I had it jacked up and hit juice to it again just to make sure I wasn't stuck on a detent plugged everything back in and its working for now.Good luck

I had to shim the actuators on tcase because the rod was rubbing on the inside of the plastic casing. And when I shimmed it I could move it in and out easily. And I got the 4hi working. I went on and replace the front differential actuator. But 4lo actuates but light flashes and want go into R or D. So I fount an low mileage tcase so I’m going to change it out. When I replace the front actuator I noticed a lot of play in the driver side axle so I’ve ordered the ECGS bushin to replace needle bearing. And I hope it fixes the clicking noise. And I hope I’m done
