Well I know it's expensive but my advice is to just bite the bullet and get the Toyota transfer case lube. Then no worries of any incompatibility.

    So stock.
I just did both diffs and transfer case yesterday. I went with Amsoil in the diffs but went with Toyota in the transfer case. From what I read, this sounded like the way to go. Note that this was in a Tacoma.

It was $62 for a 1L can from Roseville Toyota. This was just enough to do the tcase in the Taco.

I used this in my 4runner and just ordered a couple bottles for my Tundra. One of the bottles leaked everywhere during shipping. The box was soaked, and because it was so wet with gear oil, it arrived in a clear plastic bag. I sent pics to Blauparts (the seller I ordered them from on Amazon), and they sent me another bottle that arrived in two days.

Ravenol - just did mine - also, no one anywhere I've seen has mentioned the ridiculously cool bottles they come in with the telescoping fill tube. Made the change even easier than expected.

Every local Toyota dealership (same guys that swear their $39 oil change is synthetic) around me said they put 75w-90 in both diffs and the transfer case. My manual said 75w-85 for the diffs and straight 75w in the transfer case. I ordered these and let me say it was worth every penny. The design of these bottles saved my driveway from the typical leaky mess. We will see what the fluid looks like in 30k miles but I think I'm sold for life.
