I'm looking for an enclosed trailer for transporting and storing a tractor in.
The enclosed portion of the trailer needs to be 7-1/2' - 8-1/2' wide x 20' long and I need a GVWR of 12k - 14k. lbs.

The enclosed car hauler trailers I've been looking at are designed for lighter weight vehicles; the ramp doors are rated for 3k - 4k lbs. The tractor currently weighs 6k and if I add fluid in the tires it'll gain another 300 - 500 lbs. A ramp capacity of at least 7k would be nice.

Can anyone recommend any good brands or dealers in the Minnesota, North/South Dakota, Iowa, Wisconsin area?

They don't show any enclosed trailers with a GVW over 10k on their website. I'll give them a call and see if they can order something that would work for me.
    Thank you for the link.

What kind of tractor are you hauling? That's a pretty good sized tractor.

Hell, my neighbors is 10K with all his attachments. My truck and trailer knew it was there for sure.

The one you're towing would look like mine if you removed the cab, removed the backhoe, and painted it green

    Very nice!

Personally, I would not get anything under 7k axles. Is this for a legit business? Depending on what truck you purchase it can run out of payload real quick.

I agree with 7k axles. Not for business, strictly personal use. It's a balancing act, need high payload but have to keep combined GVW under 26k

Truck payload is over 4k with GVW of 11,550 so trailer can't be over 14k

I'm assuming you don't own a Tundra. My 1 ton doesn't even have those numbers. Well, I do have 11500 GVWR, but payload is 3808 lbs.

Not a Tundra, although I would love to see Toyota enter the HD market.

The truck is a 2025 GMC 3500. Looks like a new version of the truck in your picture, except I went with the 6.6 gas.
    I don't have the truck yet, had to order, but here are the weight specs;

I have an aluminum EZ Hauler enclosed trailer from Alcom Trailer - smaller and lighter duty than what you are looking for, but a nice little trailer. I was trying to find a good balance between payload and trailer weight and the aluminum trailer fit the fill. It's a 7x16 with taller (now basically standard) height but only weighs 1600 lbs empty with 7000 lbs GVW, so my payload is 5400 lbs. My neighbor's 8.5'x 24' 10k enclosed trailer weighs a little over 4k lbs empty, so it has close to the same payload of my smaller, lighter trailer with smaller axles. I've had it in service for four years and it's holding up exceptionally well. I wore the tires out last year, replaced one of the ramp door bumpers, and serviced the axle bearings. Everything else is holding up exceptionally well.

As I understand it, Alcom is the parent company to a few aluminum trailer MFG's throughout the US. Mine is an EZ Hauler which I think is based out of Montana. Alcom's daughter companies like Mission trailer build custom trailers up to 53' so they could probably take care of you. Just be prepared to fork out some cash. I ordered my trailer right before the world lost it's mind and shut down; 6 months later, the same trailer cost $3k more due to material costs among other things. But the trailer has been well worth the price to me.

Has anyone done business with Nationwide Trailers?
    https://nationwidetrailers.com/locations/des-moines/

They have a location in Des Moines Iowa that's <400 miles from me.......trying to decide if they're worth the drive?

Anyone have experience with CellTech trailers? I've never seen one. Made of steel, but it's all galvanized. Not cheap....

If anyone has knowledge of the dealer or trailer I'm all ears

Crazy how much cheaper and more trailer one gets when coming down south.

Since you have a 1 ton on the way....

Sure wish I had room to keep a trailer that size......I'd already be planning a road trip for that price!

I'm afraid my storage and use locations limit me to a 20' (24' OAL) maximum length.

Are you wanting an enclosed for weather protection or something else?
Could you use a 16+ foot dump trailer with 4' sides and tarp it?
