Just purchased my used trail edition less than a week ago. Ready to start making it mine. All of the trucks on here are amazing and have given me some good ideas. First order of business is getting rid of the chrome!

I had a look-back moment recently and thought, "man, my truck looks good". Had to snap a pic (even though its needs to be washed).

Can anyone confirm what they paid in 2021 for the trail edition? approximate #s? I'm looking at used one w/ just over 31k miles or a 2021 off-road trim w/ 21k miles ... and am struggling ... I want to keep the truck for a looooong time ... I'm probably going to over pay right now if I do this either way. Thanks for any input. @LarryDangerfield or others...

I think the vehicle market has gotten a little better than it was but I don't know if it will ever be back to "normal". A trail edition is pretty much an SR5 with an appearance package. I would say go with whichever one has more features that you like. My trail edition was a pretty bare bones trail edition but some people in this thread actually had some extra options like dual zone climate control for example. I know the suspension was abysmal for something called trail edition so I'm thinking the off-road suspension would be better. In the end it comes down to which one is in better shape and which one has options that suit your lifestyle.

Appreciate that. Yea. It’s a sharp looking white trail edition and an army green off road trim. The main reason for a tundra for me is the reliability and ability to tow our travel trailer (3400 lbs) with more confidence. Plus the roominess for kids and dog.
So lifestyle wise. I doubt we’ll actually off road. Heck a sport suspension might actually be better for us for towing and road travel. But … so many options. Lol. Dealers aren’t really budging much on price. But I’m trying. Lol
    Thanks.

Anyone have suggestions on tire size? I want to fill the wheel well more, looking at going with 33s instead of 35s just to save on gas, anyone put 33s on?

33s (275/70/18) are an extremely common tire size here on the forums. There are all kinds of options as far as tire choice.

What is everyone doing for a tonneau cover on their trail edition? Will a tonneau cover that works with the rail system work or do I need one that works without the rail system?

Tyger soft roll up works great on trail edition with storage boxes. Don’t have to rail system either

Just wanted to see what mods everyone has done, I have put color-matched BumperShellz on to get rid of the chrome in the front and most recently added a diamondback bed cover also tinted the front windows (don't know why everyone doesn't do that). Hoping to add some bigger tires soon, open to suggestions! DE6E27CC-26F4-443B-B626-A05A6981553D_1_201_a.jpg IMG_7606.jpg

Anyone ever heard of upgrading to a key fob with remote start and keyless entry?

Hi all. I recently scored a set of trail edition bed boxes and was wondering how much bed space is lost with them installed. I sometimes strap down mine and my son's dirt bikes in the bed and I'm hoping it will still be possible with these in. Any help would be appreciated.
