I took mine out right before having the cap installed. I figured they might not fit, and would be hard to access. I did leave the tie down rails installed, but I will probably remove those too.

The install shop had to remove the little plastic end pieces from the tie down rails to clear the clamps. I think the boxes will probably fit with the camper shell.

If you have the bed tie down system the boxes should fit. Looking at my setup/08 with bed rails and boxes, the boxes only push out a quarter of an inch.

Can you post up photos of what shell you have and some of the attachments to the upper bed rails?

    Hello,

I have a 2021 White Tundra Trail Edition 4x4. Bought it used but my steering wheel lights, tow haul lights, gear shifter lights on the driver side don't work... I've taken it to 3 dealers here and they said it's just the model that doesn't have functioning lights. I need to prove them wrong because i've seen youtube reviews but they are all in Canada. Anybody help?

Here is a 40 second video of me explaining the situation. The dealerships i've visited keep giving me the run around and they are Toyota Dealerships in Houston.

That's good to know; I'd been looking at my local dealer but hadn't gotten a quote yet.

Anyone install a Fumoto drain valve? I bought one as I'm preparing for my second oil change, but now I'm wondering whether or not I should put it on. I have the TRD skid plate and am just looking for ways to make oil changes a little smoother. It seems relatively protected up there and I'm not taking it off road.

Also, while I'm here - I bought a bunch of the AJT design interior trim pieces and then decided I didn't want to hassle with it. Should I just list it in the for sale forums or do any of my fellow Trail Edition folks want first crack at them? I can take some pictures tonight if anyone is interested.

Thanks, but no here, bought the High Flying coverall thing from Amazon. Pretty cool to keep things around the shifter/cup holders from getting scratched up.

That sounds like a great option! These trim pieces are more to get rid of the chrome bits and pieces...it just didn't end up being worth the effort for me but I'm way past any return rights.

Hello everyone, was searching trail edition tundras and came across this thread. Figured I’d introduce myself. Bought my trail edition Tundra back in November 21. Started modding it right when i got it. Looking forward to seeing what everyone does with their trail edition Tundras. Here is mine. 236EE2A0-0454-499B-A1AB-5A789DB4149A.jpg

I've never been a huge fan of Toyota's Army Green color, but I've got to say your rig looks sharp!!! The subtle accents and bronze wheels are spot on; nice job!!!!

Hello all! I recently sold my 2021 Trail Edition and have some "leftover" items I will no longer use. Do you suggest I list them in the classified section or here in the Trail section?

Your best bet would be to list them in the classified section and then post a link in here as well. What vehicle are you moving to?

Oh man, I don't even want to say what vehicle I'm driving now... :) Okay - *sigh* a KIA Soul LX. Thing is, I didn't need the truck for towing/hauling/etc - it was just a super comfortable daily driver. When I realized how much it was worth at the moment, what I paid for it, and what I could buy the Soul for, I just decided to jump on the one moment in my life when I could actually MAKE a big chunk of change switching cars.

You wont find any judgement whatsoever from me my friend. I also used my tundra as a payday :D never in my life did I think I would ever be able to put 20,000 miles on a vehicle and get more in trade in than I originally bought it for.
