The white ones are extraordinarily faster than all others. In fact so fast, apparently they cannot be seen. :headbang:

I think they look strong by design. The design is pretty "beefy" plus the radius in each opening will not fracture easily because there are no single stress risers present like in a more spoked type design. Good choice for durability, and I buy things based on their durability. Good looks is just a bonus to me.

I thought I'd ask this here among Trail Edition folks - I'm considering moving to an OEM TRD PRO grill and TSS cover. I was planning on installing it myself, but the parts guy I usually work with (and has been very good to deal with) says there would be a $375 TSS recalibration necessary after installation. Anyone hear about this? I definitely want to keep OEM performance and that last $375 might be the nail in the coffin for what was already going to be an expensive mod.

I'm aware of a few good aftermarket options that are cheaper, but I have a thing for OEM when it's available.

I did it myself and did no “calibration” nor have I heard of any other guys mentioning that. I’ve also had no problems with check engine lights fwiw.

Well folks lack of time and another thread here just inspired me to join you guys with the tonneau covers. Just ordered a Gator for my truck. Also in the works I am building a diy multi purpose bed rack/soft topper frame out of threaded pipe and fittings. The plan is to have a rack that will store under the back seat or in the trail box in a few pieces that can be assembled quickly anywhere anytime and have a snap on cover to keep cargo dry that will not fit under the tonneau or a rack to carry watercraft, ladders, lumber, etc. It will give me the ability to keep my headache rack and still have a dry place to sleep in the bed if I want too. Just cut the iron for my diy sliders/cat shield a few days ago and the cold galvanizing compound is on the way so hopefully before Winter those will be on. A nice 250lbs on the belly of the beast will be a great improvement. Hopefully I can get the suspension limit strap brackets fabbed and installed over the Winter. Having SPC UCA's has put a kink in my tire plan. Don't think 285/75 18 will fit. Trying to find some 40 offset rims I like. They don't exist! 25 Methods seem like about the only good option since SCS Ray 10's are hard to get. The problem I see with a 25 offset is then you start hitting the mud flaps, etc. Pretty sure I can make a 40 work but the American Racing rim has a bunch of decorative features that would just be a PITA to clean, so I dunno. Maybe gonna roll with a 275/70 18 Hercules AT and keep the stock forged rims. That would be best for my usage anyway. Just a little update on my rig, happy Fall y'all! You folks up North, keep your stick on the ice this Winter!

Alright, another confirmation on the Gator srx bed cover. Nice fit, quality, and price! Also just got some flares ordered. EAG in satin black. $170, seems like a nice low profile flare to finish out the wheel wells and should help keep the truck cleaner and also help with car doors, shopping carts, dummies, etc. Pics coming soon!!

I'm highly considering trying the MX4 tri fold, very tempting and I have about $1300 budget for Christmas. I would love to grab a Diamondback but we only do a couple road trips a year and the rest of the time I'm hauling junk or bringing home a new TV or washer / dryer etc. I still need the bed height a lot of the time.

That's pretty much my situation, only really need something once in a blue moon. However, since I now have a pretty water resistant bed, I'm considering a false floor under my bed mat, truck needs a stronger bed floor anyway and I could keep some low profile gear and or tools in there, out of sight, out of mind. Another project!!

You may want to look at a soft topper. Only reason I didn't buy 1 is because I'm building my own version, want a stout frame that can also be a rack.

Installed the Truxedo Sentry CT tonneau, I'm thinking I'm going to like it. Easy to install, and seems solid. The only fear is the latch, seems like that would be the weak spot, but for my purposes, it will work great!

I really like this one. Question, does it bow your bed rail caps at all? Like create little waves in them? It doesn't seem like it would since it doesn't install over them very much. I had a cheaper Truxedo that installed right over the bed rails and it bowed the plastic caps pretty bad, enough that I ended up replacing them and don't want to go through that again. Thanks

Edit: Also, is the gasket up front by the window part of the cover or is it one you have to lay down? Those that lay down never seem to stay stuck to the spray on bed liner.

Not that I've noticed, and since it mounts using the rail system as opposed to clamping to the lip of the bed.
I did have a similar issue with the Undercover tri-fold I had on my last truck.
    I really like this cover.
They supply a stick-on seal, I lightly sanded the spray-on liner, washed the area, then cleaned it with alcohol. Then the roll has a rubber seal up front as well, so it sits on top of the stick-on.

It seems to work good so far, even the last few days here, we've had heavy rain and 60 mph winds, the bed stayed dry.

Just ordered a set of rims for Bounty.
18x9 XD Heist satin black +30. Flares arrived today. Gonna have to sell the stock rims now. If anyone here wants a shot at them I will make you a sweet deal as soon as my KMC's arrive. Ship or pickup. PM serious inquiries. Clean like new condition with caps.

Sorry for the late response. Haven’t been on in awhile. Got mine directly from Weather Tech. Super easy install. Been using them since 2003 on different trucks. Have never had any issues of them coming off in car wash etc. They come with a thin strip of tape that you peel off before putting them in the window channel. Pop them in place and close the window. They recommend keeping the windows up for 24 hours so they have that pressure in the channel.
