Trail Edition Hangout/Confirmed Fit Tonneau Covers

Don’t know if this has been brought up, but looking back at the Tacoma version of the Trail Edition (which they release info in June).. man I wish ours would have come with this cool badge and other features. Maybe toyota has seen how many people (such as many in the forum) have done their own upgrades to the pro grill. I do like our dark gray wheels but these are certainly interesting. Looks like the toyota letters in the grill matches match the wheels too.

Mine is in the process of being badged as a Superman edition. Kinda slow getting the goods made and received though. Hope to finish up in about 3 months.

 

Here ya go. Full function on the boxes with no clearance issues at all.

 

It basically comes with everything I’ve been doing and/or wanting to do. Fender flares (I optioned as extra from dealer), pro grill (aftermarket self-installed), leveling/suspension mod (aftermarket vendor installed), different tires (vendor installed), TRD skid plate, unique badging…. And more.

I’m pretty sure I saw that similar badge on a RAV4, has anyone else?

This is one of the first things I plan on doing to my rig. Guessing the install wasn’t too bad? Drop the bumper?

 

Don't need to drop the bumper. The shells use double sided tape to attach to the chrome. You need to back out the wheel well liner to use the factory bolts to attached.

One bit of advise, if you are going to replace your fogs, do it before, or at the same time as the bumper shellz. The shells overhang the factory fog light bezel a bit, so you cannot remove them from the front. You'll need to remove the wheel well liners to get to them afterwards. Not a huge deal, but had I to do it all over again, i would have done the fog lights first.

Gotta say, I never bought any new vehicle in my life directly off the showroom floor! You know, I actually don't mind going to work in the morning cause I get to drive her! Happy Thursday all!

 

They probably don't have much of anything to put on the showroom floor these days! Probably going to get even worse too. Your truck is looking good, enjoy!

Finally got my tonneau cover on today... Undercover Ultra Flex

Ordered one month ago with the plan to install myself. The manufacturer sent the wrong brackets so I returned it to the local shop that I had ordered it from.

The local shop obtained the right brackets and installed the tonneau cover at no cost.

 

Hey, just joined the forums because the first post helped with my findings.

The Agricover LoMax Stance fits perfect, for anyone that is still looking for options on a hard folding cover without removing the bed boxes or doing any modifications.

Can still open the bed boxes no problem with the cover folded all the way up to the window

 

Currently sitting next to my Dad's '18 Crewmax haha

Also, if anyone knows the color of the center caps (I totally forget and don't want to order the wrong one) that would be great. One of mine was stolen lol

I picked up mine in October. Rolled over 13,000 miles this week on the way down to North Carolina for a week at the beach.

 

Has anyone looked into what foldable bed extender works with the boxes?

 

Imo, a trailer is a better investment. Hitch cargo basket is another one. I think this way because both remain mine when the truck goes away, plus they fit my 4Runner too.

 

Truck came with the bed extender from Toyota, that works with the boxes. Folds in to fit with tailgate closed and opens up - works with tonneau cover too.

Maybe I am misunderstanding your question...

 

Do you have photos of the bed extender? I need one but really don't want to buy them to test trial for fitment.
