There's a coffee stand in Alice called BYOC. Bring Your Own Cup. Just up the road from where we will pop out of the trail.

FYI. It was closed a couple years ago when I was up that way. Not sure now though. Opened back up?

I'm not sure. I saw it on some hipster travel show a while ago. I remembered it was in Alice. Google reviews were posted a few weeks ago, so I'm assuming they are open. Never knew they closed.

I could be mistaken. There used to be a store I'd stop at too and it was closed. Was part of a house. These places change hands a lot and are very seasonal. One would think this is a good time of year to be open.

I’ll be there. Somehow fell off of this thread. Spaced it but I’ll be screeching in to the Kum and Go just in time.

I hope the weather is better for the next one. We wouldn't have to race the rain. Though it wasn't too bad, but it did get slippery on the way down.

    Some stats:

    Total distance 7.88 miles
    Avg speed was 3.6 MPH
    About 2.25 hours
Elevation was about 11,000 feet when we stopped for lunch

This was trail part only since we aired down and when we said goodbye on that black top road.

Thanks Matt for organizing. Awesome meeting y’all and can’t wait to do it again.

Did you miss the Idaho Springs traffic? Took me like 30 minutes to get through town.

We got on I70 and never got into the town. We saw the shit show from up there. Not sure what happened that shutdown was no joke.

I have no idea. There were a TON of people in town and one of the westbound on-ramps was closed. There was a police officer doing traffic control in the middle of town. All the locals were in their front yards gawking at traffic.

I eeked through Idaho springs before it locked down. Had a great time guys. Upon closer inspection, I think the scratches on my steps make them look better so you’re off the hook Matt!

Sorry I missed you guys! Looks like everyone had fun. I ended up just hanging out at our campsite with my son. Puddle jumping all weekend as it rained every day.

I was out of service in a campground where my wife's friends like to go. We got a really nice and private site. I hate campgrounds but this changed my mind slightly. I arrived Thursday with the kid and dog, got setup and went for a hike before the rain started. Hope to make the next day trip.

I just noticed my dog has a Volkswagen collar. It was free but I need a TOYOTA one for her!
