So...I think I made a mistake going with the double cab...

I have less than 300 miles on my truck...obviously I will lose money on a trade in...

Has anyone had any experience trading in their car with so little miles on it?

I haven't done it, but i've seen it happen. I'd say to expect a $3-4K hit.

The double cab is more room than my Tacoma, but still less than a crew max so I would like to have more room inside. I have the 6.5' bed on the double cab.

That is a very very very nice truck! Save money, keep it, and have something to work up toward(the next Tundra model coming in 2020, PERHAPS?)

If I would have kicked the back of my dads seat in the car, growing up, I would have been on the recieving end of a boat paddle. Things are different nowadays...:deadhorse:

Man I almost went with a DC. It was about 3k less. But decided on the CM that was on the showroom floor. I do miss the 6.5’ bed though. That 1’ makes a pretty big difference. If you can live with it for a year or so I’d wait it out. But you could always try and see if you can get an 18 CM for about 16% off msrp and get a solid trade in value for the DC

These new car seats are huge tanks, I just bought a Chicco for my 1 year old. Fits nice in my crewmax... not so nice on my 4Runner. Not to mention the price of them... $350.00 ouch there goes my sidebars

With my first kid, I had a 2000 Chevy Camaro, Z-28 LS1 with the 6 speed. T-TOPS, black and chrome. I made that carseat fit in back!!! I did take it to a free safety inspection by the local police once, were the guy there told me there is NO way to safely install a carseat in that car, and I need to sell it for a minivan or something. Long story made longer, I still have a living kid, AND a bitchin Camaro!

To be honest, I'd probably like to spend this money on mods instead of losing it on a trade...

I’d say you are going to loose more than a couple K , the first year depreciation on any vehicle can be rough, especially when you factor in processing fees and taxes that you just paid on yours (maybe you don’t in your state, but it’s 5% in VA ... processing fees vary from 299-750 around here)

If you're gonna do it, now's the time before the 2018's are gone!

I just got a crewmax and the large rear seat space is awesome with the 3 kids back there.
