They say this yet look how many are on here daily asking me, a dealer, to provide them a service since they cant do it on their on online. I, the dealer, am offering my service and time to assist all these people who are not buying from me....I guess Im just here being useless. I get there are some very bad dealers out there, most I will say though end up just being a bad employee or two that slip through the cracks. Every company has a bad employee or two...were just a customer facing industry so they are obviously seen more by the public. This forum is obviously full of some really smart people that know a lot about their vehicles but the fact is the biggest majority still need someone to show them how to work all the features on their new vehicle. We can spend an hour or more with some people showing them all about their new car and how to work everything but 2 or 3 days later they will pull back up asking how to work something again because they forgot.

I can go online and learn how to do almost anything if I put enough time into it but that doesnt mean we need to eliminate a whole profession because a very small group of people feel they can do everything themselves better than someone with actual real world training and certification.

Mike/ Bobby thank you for your support here. Not everyone will ever be satisfied.

I have a Pro stuck in the 9/20 QC hold, which seems like an eternity at this point.

Would Toyota ship vehicles that weren’t 100%? Meaning if there was a chip or component they needed would they ship and deal with it once the parts were available?

Also, have you a seen any recent hybrids get delivered or is it all hybrids being built are being put on hold?

We dont mind helping at all, I hate that so many people are getting little to no info from their sales person though...its a shame.

To anwer your question, I have not seen Toyota ever ship anything that isnt 100%. Im assuming you mean like Chevrolet has been doing where they are missing a certain feature but the sticker says it will be retrofitted at a later date? This has not been the case with Toyota as of now, I can say that.

I have only had 1 hybrid Tundra in so far and it did get held up before it was delivered to me. Have we searched your VIN to see where it is in the process? Obviously if it is still on hold then there wont be much info available but if its been moved out of hold maybe we can provide an ETA for you

My dealer has been very upfront with me as well as sending me screenshots similar to what you do. I was getting them daily once the truck was built, but now that I’m on hold there’s nothing new to report. I’m lucky to be dealing with a good dealer/ salesperson

Also, my previous question was regarding what Ford/ Chevy is doing. It’s good to hear Toyota hasn’t done that in the past. Seems like a bad idea

Misery loves company! Mine has been at the Montana railyard since August 1. Just waiting on the EPB/ECU Update recall. I don’t know why mine is taking so long for a fix that takes 10 minutes tops. Glad to see I’m not the only one though!

I feel for you both. Mine was built 4/29 and sat at the factory until 7/27. Best of luck and hope yours get the fix soon!

As usual, nothing on my Tundra on that site.

The Sierra looks great. Love everything about the looks but it's still second-rate to the Toyota.

Was just coming on to see if anyone had found a work around... Nice! @mike220022 Would you mind checking to see where my incoming 4Runner is at? JTELU5JR3P6099380

    Thanks in advance!

Edit: It appears you can't track things coming into Texas, so scratch that.

All good man. Does it seem weird that it's still in "Allocation" but now it has 3 miles on it (popped up this morning) & multiple alerts from the Toyota App?

It had 0 miles as of last night. That was my only confusion. Didn't know if it having a few miles today meant it was off the boat & onto a truck or what.

    Thanks again!

I think a sales person is an ok idea but I don't think we need a dealer to buy the car from manufacturer and resell to us. If people could track their truck on their own they would be.

I agree that having someone to go over the vehicle isn't a bad idea for some. However many sales people don't even understand all the features from my experience.

I mean you no disrespect just my feelings.

Bobby/Mike...my dealership called and it seems like the QC hold was lifted. My truck (VIN 5TFVC5DB5NX009829) seems to be back on the move and should be at the dealership soon.

Any word on what the reason for the hold was? What was the recall and what was fixed on the hybrids?

Good morning. First off, thank you for those that are providing updates. Very much appreciated.

If someone has an opportunity would they mind checking if mine is still in a hold? (dealer just says it is in transit)
