Sorry in advance if this isn't the proper place to post this - My Tundra was affected by the most recent holds on 8/30 and the Toyota recall website now has something listed for my VIN:

Title: Safety (Noncompliance) Recall 22TA11 (Remedy Notice) - Certain 2022 Model Year Tundra - Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) May Not Engage or Disengage Properly
Status: Remedy Available
Description: The electronic parking brake (EPB) in the subject vehicles may not engage or disengage properly.
Remedy: Any authorized Toyota dealer will update the software in the Skid Control ECU FREE OF CHARGE.

Here's hoping it will be a quick fix!

 

So does the 08/30 hold potentially change the build dates at the factory, or do they just keep spitting them out while others are working on the recall(s)?

Is there any way to confirm for sure that this is what the Tundras are being held for? I sure hope so! I’ve already waited a month without a car and don’t want to go another 4-6 weeks without my truck. I’m just skeptical because why would they hold all these trucks just for something that can be fixed at any dealership in under an hour?
