You are in a different region than me so I honestly have no idea what sort of path your train might take.

Does anyone know what it means when the last sighting is listed as "@?

My sales rep told me it was built 4/29 and a rail depart date of 5/4. They said dealerdaily doesn't show it as rail arrived yet, but they think it probably arrived the week before memorial day and is just sitting waiting to be trucked down and that the status wont update until it is loaded on the truck for delivery.

The system used to show an actual location where your truck was last seen but it's all dark now. There's literally zero updates between the time it leaves and the time it arrives.

Thanks - I was trying to do the train tracking thing that was listed in another post but the dealer stated all it said was "@. I would like to think I am down to the final week or two, as it is headed to Maryland for Central Atlantic region I believe then coming down to VA.

I wanted a faster vehicle so I also bought a Chevy SS... because 4 door sedans with big V8’s are hilarious.
The trains are being moved by Class 1 RR’s that:

1.) Spent the last 5-7 years slashing 40% of their train crew work force. So they don’t have crews to run trains. Plus they don’t have adequate staffing in big or small yards to classify, build, air test, or otherwise prepare trains for the mainline. The people who are still here are treated like garbage, so now the word is out and they can’t find new employees.

2.) Spent the last 5-7 years mothballing or scrapping as many locomotives as possible. They don’t have motive power to add more trains. The locomotives still in service are becoming beat trash because they don’t maintain them.

3.) Increase the size of trains to a size that don’t fit on sidings, reducing the number of trains that can be run because a lot of subdivisions can’t have more than one train because they can’t tuck into a siding for “meets”. These trains are also so horribly underpowered they can no longer make track speed.

4.) These same RR’s have become obsessed with their operating ratios at the expense of service to customers. Hence the above foolishness. They also intentionally limit how much power the engineer can use by instructions for isolating locomotives, and limiting throttle settings.

5.) The Class 1’s have also been deferring a lot of maintenance on track and other things. There’s slow orders everywhere. I mean everywhere. I can’t go track speed with 25mph slow orders every 2-3 miles when my train has less than 1 horsepower per ton, and it’s 7500ft long. I just go 25mph all the time.

So keep those factors in mind on the reality of equipment and man power capabilities that the shit heel management of these big RR’s have created.

Lastly all the craft and operating employees have been worked to the point of near exhaustion. All while the Class 1 RR’s refuse to negotiate in good faith on a new contract. We no longer give a shit, our contract expired 3 years ago, and we have no quality of life. The only thing keeping us from striking are orders from Federal judges declaring everything a minor dispute, and the Railway Labor Act that allows this kind of abuse.

If all of you want to see this improve call or write your representative in Congress. There’s already been one STB hearing over service issues, and there need to be more. There is a huge hang up on the supply chain, and Class 1 RR’s are a big big part of the problem right now due to how they’re being run.

just another thought, wonder how the q/c changed from the early 4 digit s/n compared to the late 5 digit s/n currently being made?

This is very interesting. Mine is the 001044 which you would THINK would have been at least on the rail by now. But nope - seems like it is stuck in “processing”. I still think it has something to do with our region/area of the PNW. Specifically western Idaho, eastern Washington. Seems like everyone in our area has experienced long delays in shipping.

I am curious - do you have any insight into what the “Check” number is?

Would you be able to see if mine left Texas yet? Why do some get stuck in processing for a month and others roll off the assembly line right to a train?

if you want to see a vin decoder i can post one in excel form, its pretty nasty and only goes up to 2019.

still needs work as there is some errors in it and some duplicate entries.

just a heads up, this is not my original work but a copy from someone else.
