Beautiful truck. Almost makes me wish I was getting a limited instead of an SR5. Same color and cab/bed that should be here any day now.

    1 (800) 235-2352

    “location”

Use the alpha numeric code in the screen shot the guys provided. This will trigger data on the rail car. Last point and next destination along with ETA

Kind of hard to believe that there is no tracking for these things even with this new system. Like you can literally track a tooth brush from across the world and these jokers can’t give you/dealers accurate arrivals for inventory or at least be in the ball park. Almost a 2 week difference from early arrival to first actual date given to possibly weeks after that.

Depending on the distance to destination, not everything is going by rail to my understanding. Mine came on a typical car hauler, but that was San Antonio to Louisiana. Maybe 500mi total.

As far as tracking something once it is on a truck (if yours is being shipped that way by chance) it is really up in the wind. Drivers may already be at their max and even though it shows in transit or en route just means it is loaded. The driver could live nearby and he spends the night at home. Or he could be well on his way already and then when the dealer opens the next morning, they are parked out front waiting to unload.

Ahhh, ok I see. My dealer just kept saying it was on the truck and so they had no way of knowing where it was exactly. I guess even they were under the assumption it came by truck from TX to LA. Stands to reason they would rail everything though like you said.

Regardless of the above, in my opinion…..
Toyota needs to figure out how to communicate the shipping correctly. Dealers and ultimately the customers are left in the dark.
GM has it down to a science for the new corvette buyers.
Great communication and positive ordering/buying experience. Friend of mine could see if the driver pulled over to sleep for the night.

I am hoping “project eta” will clean this system up. Amazon prime has made me very inpatient.

Waiting on my DC to Portland, on train, build date 6/7? Switched from a Limited Silver TRD DC to a fully loaded Lunar Rock SR5 TRD, then found Lunar Rock Limited DC with everything I wanted(TRD, limited premium package, heat steering wheel) except limited power package. $56K msrp.

I agree. The reason GM probably has it that way is because they got sick of people checking and asking. By doing something similar, Toyota could kill two birds with one stone; Would create a better customer experience and and would eliminate a lot of headache.

@TJCooke - So I have to tell you… the family and I headed out to Jackson Hole today and drove right through Silerbow / Butte. Haha you KNOW I made us stop and drive around the port a little to see if I could see our trucks sitting there in the lot

LOTS of new Toyotas but only one tundra. It was white. Soooooo no luck seeing them there which I wasn’t really expecting, but worth a shot haha

Man thanks for going all that way for some recon haha, hopefully you missed the full truckload of tundras headed to Spokane. Fingers crossed. My salesman said he is still expecting the truck but doesn't have any update on it. Said the accuracy of the ETA has held fairly close to what they are given give or take a few days. The wait is almost over.

My bad. I was on my phone when I seen this truck. I have a 6.5 bed Crewmax coming, not a Doublecab. Still beautiful truck though.

I don't know if I mentioned it yesterday, but my truck had the recall for the axle bolts, up until about 2 days ago, it said it needed the recall work done. I checked the other day and it said there are no active recalls on my vehicle. So I think the trucks are at least at the Silverbow port, I believe that is where they worked on them. Going to take a peak at the dealer tomorrow when I get off work and see if those bad boys are there.

Nice!!! Ya I am just hoping and praying that we get them in the next week or so. I saw quite a few on the road today driving - probably saw 5 or 6 in Montana. I have yet to see a red one though in person. Mostly blueprint and white. And maybe one mgm.

Wanna hear something wild? My Tundra is destined for Autonation Spokane Valley as well and it is on the train for Portland...doesn't look like mine is going to Silverbow. Not sure the rhyme or reason but can't say I am bothered.

Hm - ya that is interesting. My dealer told me everything used to get shipped to Portland but recently switched to Silverbow. I wonder if they have been having issues at Silverbow and are moving back to Portland. Seems like everything going to Silverbow took FOREVER. I will say when I drove by yesterday there were a lot of new Toyotas there. Mostly Tacomas and Camrys.

Hello all! New to the forum. I just had to jump in on this thread. Put my deposit down on a limited on 12/17. Finally got the allocation in mid March, and she was built 6/3. Last update was railhead departure on 6/8. No updates in the system since. I’d been checking the hack regularly but now that’s been shut down. It’s frustrating because I only live about 4 hours from the plant in San Antonio. The VIN is
5TFJA5DB4NX035340, if anyone’s got the ability to check it. Sorry for the long post. Getting desperate here!

Just checked my VIN 5TFJA5EC4NX006805 and the recall shows that it has been done. My original eta to dealer(I'm in The Dalles, OR 80 miles east of PDX) was the 27th-July 2nd. It did not make that eta, hoping this upcoming week it arrives. I tracked the train and it was most likely unloaded the 28th. It had an eta of the 26th for arrival at the rail port, so It looks to be a couple days behind. With the weekend and holiday, my hope is it will show up on Tuesday. My vacation ends on Thursday.

Nice, mine is similar for Kennewick. June-18-July 4 was my original arrival at dealer window. I’ve now been told July 12th is the new ETA.
