Track your Tundra when in "F" status on the train

+1 to this, but still make me sad that we do not have any tracking in Canada like this. On a separate note, I did get my VIN, even if it's not release to truck for dealer delivery!

@bobbilly is there any effort in trying the Canadian VIN if it shows anything? Either way, here's my VIN: 5TFNC5DB0PX020711

My truck has been at Mira Loma since 12/21. It shows not on hold. Every two days it gets pushed back two more days. It's been doing this for over a month...

Where is your final destination? I've read some things that they wait for trucks to get fully loaded to deliver...hopefully soon.

Waiting on my truck from Mira Loma as well. Frustrating because doesn't seem like anyone knows whats going on. There has to be someone at the railyard the dealership can reach out to to see whats the hold up right?

 

It's really hard to imagine that the dealers are really in the dark regarding their incoming inventory. It doesn't make sense unless there's a much larger issue at play... That could explain why the dealers are so tight lipped. Not saying that's the case but I find it hard to believe that these dealers find it acceptable to be left in the dark with no information. They have a business to run and rely on inventory, etc... its unacceptable for everyone.

dealers have no say on what the regional port hires for transport company. they are 3rd party contractors that transport vehicles from railyards. they scan a vehicle as its loaded on a transport and then update the terminal that feeds into toyota delivery system. you wont get an update after being loaded on a transport until they unload it at a dealer.

same goes for when they unload a vehicle from a railcar. until they load it on a transport you wont see any updates while sitting in a railyard.

dealers have no access to the transport company to get updates since they work for the regional port.

 

My Platinum Hybrid has been on the 12/22 QC Hold since 12/23 at the Chicago rail yard. I was told today it was released from hold and should be at the dealer any day now. I've been monitoring this thread the last month, nice to see I am not only one this impatient.

Hopefully this means good news for everyone else and they are starting to release all of the trucks on hold.

Meanwhile waiting on this truck to get released, I noticed the msrp on my truck went up to what I assume is the new 2023 pricing. It is different than the original vspec I was given in December. Just adding more joy to this buying experience

Curious if it’s pushing like some others at Mira Loma

 

I wasn't given the name of the rail yard, I was just told Chicago. Isn't Dayton's Bluff in Minnesota?

 

usually if you get a status update while its on the train, you can see the destination railyard the vehicle is going to. depending on the region they will have multiple railyards they unload at, but usually they dont have one for each city, hence the tranport company is centralized to move vehicles around. daytons bluff is new for my region since it use to be kansas city was the unload location and transported to ND. i am guessing they are saving money by having a closer railyard than kc.

 

also looked all around chicago and i cant find a railyard for vehicle unload via google maps. found plenty of Amazon warehouses next to the railroad tracks though.

maybe if someone has a status page showing if there is a railyard in chicago destination it would help to look up.

i know toyota usually uses BNSF to transport vehicles up north and i cant find any railyards near a BNSF hub with a unload lot.
