I’m looking into raising the back a bit (1” or so)because of the 6112 (top setting). I thought shackels were the way to go but this thread has me looking into it more...
    What’s best if you off-road?
    Shackles ? Blocks?

Coachbuilder all the way, awesome product and customer service! You get what you pay for. Very satisfied with the +2s on my truck. Came with poly bushings and carrier spacer.

Everyone’s definition of off road is different. Generally off-road, 1” blocks will be absolutely fine. If you are going to go rock crawling or off jumps then get shackles. Construction guys run blocks all the time and are off-road 90% of the day...no issues.

that was my first choice originally then i really like welded cross member of the Toytec, however if will potentially give me more headache imma have to pass. But looks like im going back to Maxtrac. The company seems to have great reviews with all makes and models. I would assume these would be just a bit longer and very similar to stock. Gets the job done

I like my Toytec shackles, ya I had a squeak for a while, buts gone now, figure it was a self solving problem, little wear on the exposed threads on a bolt that I have no plans on removing does not bother me, hell the bolt and frame will probably rust away long before I would need to remove that bolt anyway LOL....

Yeah, this ToyTec shackle thing is being highly exaggerated. It's a minor tweak if even needed. The Toytec shackles are solid and comes with bushings if you want to swap them in.

All other shackles are solid too, come with poly bushings, are half the price, and require no tweaking so idk seems like a no brainer to me. Toytec has skated by on reputation for a long time and people just overlook product issues because “oMG TOYtEC sO GeWD”. I’ve had multiple issues with the products (and service) they sell; one was resolved but I had to go through a massive clusterfk to get it fixed. Only after dealing with all that did I realize that the Toytec cult is real...and I’ve noticed many of the people defending are people in or around Colorado...it makes sense defending a local business.

Buy some TC, maxtrac, coach builder shackles and be happy. Don’t look back. This isn’t a one pony show.

Very heavy duty. Very affordable. Nice powdercoat finish. Mine were jigged up slightly off when welded. Upper bolts don't line up. About 1/8" off on both shackles. Going to attempt to correct the issue otherwise calling Toytec for another set of their shackles. Had them on my 07 for 5 years with zero issues. CB's are decent too. Depends if you want adjustability or not. CB and Toytec are both long time approved vendors here.

    I want to clarify this...
I'm not telegraphing any negativity towards Pro Form Fab. This is partly my fault. I had these sitting around for months. I should have checked them closer when I first got them out of the box. The Pro Form guys were nice. I'm sure they would have sent me another set. A bit late late now to complain. Things happen.

It really sounds like many of the members here are happy with their purchase of the toytec shackles. That should definitely be a given since they are priced on the higher side of shackles.

My real concern here is the "Quality Control" of the product. On the previous conversations, it seems Toytec has confirm that """"SOME"""" shackles will produce the rub and some won't when set on the same setting of 1".

This itself doesn't not build a lot of confidence in an unbiased consumer. It should either be you will rub at this setting or you will not. That would be better to hear that all their products come off the line the same.

EXAMPLE: its like if we were to buy a new refrigerator, and the sales guy says," the ice maker works majority of the time." I'm very sure we would most likely shy away from that model.

A few folks here have indicated some rubbing with the ToyTec Shackles set at 1". The shackles off the line are same. The newer ones have been slimmed down a bit, but still all the same. Has nothing to do with QC. For some reason the bed bolts will interfere and the bolt will either have to be trimmed or some trimming off the shackle itself. I'm curious if the bed bolts used might be of different lengths over certain production runs. It's frustrating when it happens, but I've seen several sets of these shackles and they all appear to be the same. Anything can happen though. I won't hesitate to get another set if I need to.

I have decided to go with Pro Form Fab 1.5" for $49.95, it's a shackle, no frills, no bushings, no hardware. You use your factory hardware. No way a 1.5" shackle is going to adversely effect your springs, I just don't see that happening.

I like the price point and simplicity of the Pro Form Fab Shackles. K.I.S.S.

But wait, I just had a thought. Are the factory shackle bolts Press Fitted? If so, how will I use those bolts on the Pro Form Fabs?

One reason I went with the ToyTecs is I couldn’t decide on which setting I wanted in the rear - they give you flexibility to adjust your height.

I just spoke to the guy at Pro Form Fab. He says to use a hammer and knock out the bolts from the factory shackles. They have splines and will press fit into the new shackles. WE SHALL SEE.

So, you had no problem knocking out the factory bolts, then using them in the new shackles? That's good to hear.
