Looking at doing either the Toytec Boss lift kit, or upgrading my sound system. Both will run about $1,200 or so.

As for the lift, I wont be doing wheels and tires yet. I'll just be using my factory 20's and 285/5520 tires that came stock. Eventually I want to go 295/7018(as of now), but have to wait a while. I'm just tired of looking at how low my front end is.

Sound system will be full upgrade aside from keeping my stock HU. Amp, new component set in front and rear, and sub. Might can get all this cheaper though depending what equipment I go with.

So which would you look at doing first?

Lift for sure. But that's just me. I usually have the lift and wheel / tire setup figured out prior to even getting the truck lol

Use the money to pay the truck off sooner. Maybe? Am I Being too conservative?

I know what I want, just can't afford it all right now, ha. Fuel Assault wheels on either 1 or -12 offset. Then the 295/7018 tires. Want them to stick out just even with my flares or slightly further. Just wasn't sure how good it will look with the lift and current tires for a while.

Go with the Toytec lift. Cant just keep it stock.
Besides adding a small sub in mine i am fine with the sound. Its not the best but i have had much worse.

    Everything. Literally.
I was in the same boat, looking at lifting my truck but keeping the 20" wheels and 285s that I have now, but I feel like a lift on those size tires makes your ride look like it skipped leg day.
I decided with the 2.5" level kit to take that god awful rake look off the front end and it looks 100% better. I'm still going to lift it, but not until I can afford to do everything at once... and then I'll just sell the level kit on Craigslist or whatever.

I worry about that as well, but at least the Boss kit is adjustable from 1-3". So if 3" was too much, I can lower it a little. Then I could skip putting on the rear shackle until I do do full 3" and tires but take advantage of the new shocks. More work, but better than spending more money later.

I haven't done anything audio (yet) as I wanted to improve the appearance first. While I am huge fan of music, I'm also no longer 16 and don't need to have my mirrors shaking- first. It's want, but not at the top of my list. My truck needs to be #known.

Me neither, but I do want a good rich clean sound. That's why I think I can get not so high end equipment and still be a lot better over stock.

No, not yet. That's another thing on the list. I know I mention the lift a lot, but haven't pulled the trigger since I can't do it all at once. Wasn't sure if lift with stock would be cool or not.

I have done both but I will definitely go with @ToyTec boss Lift before the sound system.
