tundratss, what did you decide? read this thread 3 times, but maybe i missed it...

im leaning towards the toytec boss setup for my '19 CM 4x4, based on recommendations from tundras.com peeps

did not see one mention of need a shim on driver's side to correct the "tundra lean" throughout this thread. although, many have installed 2 on driver and 1 on passenger when using the billy 5100 setup.

anyone require shims to aquire a level right/left stance?

also leaning towards a rear shackle lift vs. block. opinions?

I still highly recommend the Toytec Boss kit. For the price it really is the best offering that I have had. Onroad and off-road performance was great.

Street only and want to stay low cost go with the split Toytec spacer lift.
Mainly road with some off-road the Boss is great.
I jumped up to the Radflo, really didn’t need to but it is a nice upgrade. Overkill for what I do, especially now that I got a new truck but I do like the rebuildability.

I asked that same question. Use of spacers or shims will void warranty on the Toytec Boss coilovers. They are adjustable anyway, so you can just adjust to correct any lean.

Thank you, I've been wondering about this for a while, but I didn't know if different settings and hence different preload on the coils would negatively affect ride.

The toytec boss kit is adjustable, you won't need shims.

Its on the 2.5 diameter Boss system. Dont think the Tundra has a Boss 2.5 system.
They have the Radflo 2.5 but dont think that qualifies as their 2.5 Boss.

I pulled the trigger and will also use the Dakar leaf pack. Considering UCA's as we speak.

this one?: and then use the shackles as they are superior for 'ride' comfort?:
SKLTUN-2247 - Toytec 1-1.5" Adjustable Shackles with new lower bushings

I am new to this and don't know much of anything vehicle tech wise.....

thank you all for any assistance.

Thats the one. Great lift for the price. Add the rear resi for a little better ride. Helped some with the concrete highway crappy ride because of stock leaf springs. The shackles helped a little with this as well. Upgrade to the Aluma series for an even better ride. Elka coilovers are bad ass. Spacers and shackles ride close to the same. Smoother motion with new poly bushings. Better offroad. Reduces/eliminates the axle wrap associated with spacers.

@csuviper , thank you very much for the confirmation.

You all talk at a level that I have difficulty following due to my limited experience.... for instance, you referred to this as the boss 3/1 originally, i believe, and i had to figure out what that meant, lol.

now you have stated 'rear resi' and I am assuming that is the upgraded kit that has the reservoir on the rear springs.

well.... i am trying to keep costs down..... as it stands, with the I am at 1420.00 with the shackle option, not including shipping, and then there is the question if i need to get the upper controller arm in order to do proper alignments done on the truck (SPC Adjustable Upper Control Arms - 25490) which then adds about another $700 if that is necessary.... and $1420 is already alot...... and i have to pay to get it installed LOL

so i have asked others if the upper control arms are necessary..... as i dont want to spend $1,000 or more on tires only to have them wear out in 10,000 miles due to uneven wear because the alignment cannot be done properly.

I wish money wasnt an option..... but in any case it seems the other kits (rough rider, readylift, etc) seem to not be a good option according to what i have been reading.

People tell me that the tundra needs 2.5" shock body because of its weight. I was thinking the boss kit with icon aal in the rear because I have a leer topper. Great discussion as always everyone.
