6112/5160 is a terrific setup for the money. Had this installed on my ‘19 a few weeks ago. Set the shocks at the top clip and running Toytec shackles on the 1” setting which gave it a nice stance. I’m really loving the ride quality.

Why not go 6112 front and back? I have a 3 in leveling kit up front with 1 in rear. I believe the 6112s are taller than the 5160s???

I previously had a lifted duramax that i ran bilsteins on. I was happy with them.

6112s are only designed for the front. The 5160 is the matching rear shock for the 6112.

I had the 6112/5160 combo and was very pleased overall with the ride and off road feel.

A 1 ton diesel. It doesn't compare in ride quality unless under a pretty good load.:D

My Tundra did ride rather nice.

I love the ride of the 6112 5160 pair, but I’ve had them on since November and the 5160s are rusting pretty badly around the clamp. Doesn’t effect the ride, just surprised this is happening. One Boston winter.

Boss springs are on Backorder, and Toy Tec can't give a firm delivery date. I've been waiting on mine a couple of weeks now.

20190726_174059.jpgDont forget about Fat Bobs coilover setup either. I wanted the 6112 setup aswell, but like others have said, they are often on backorder. That said, I chose Fat Bob's this time around but added the Bilsteins. Great ride & performance and not too expensive either. All comes down to what you wanna do.

When you purchase their coilovers, you have the option of running a Bilstein. Its a little extra $$

You have to coat those shocks. With living in the rust belt, very critical preventative maintenance.

Did that clamp come with the shocks? It could be contributing to the rusting.

The clamp did come with the shocks. And it seems to be the catalyst. Might need to take these apart, sand them, coat them and buy those ridiculously expensive aluminum holder things

There are currently 8 sets of 6112s in stock and 8 pairs of 5160 shocks in stock.

So I was really set into getting the 6112/5160 but after reading a bunch of threads now I’m looking also at the Toytec boss and Radflo. What’s the difference between them?
