I like the looks of the new Ram which is obviously subjective and not debatable, I also like the looks of my Tundra (after getting rid of the chrome face). Also, it is almost a given that the next Tundra will be more aerodynamic and I am pretty sure they will do something with the drivetrain to bring MPG ratings up to par.

I let you do the math......I traded my loaded 2016 F-150 3.5 EB, 37000 miles and mint condition for my 2018 Tundra (50K MSRP). Paid $7000.00 difference.

The last thing I'd ever consider when buying a 4X4 truck is how aerodynamic it is. :notsure:

I'm having a REALLY, REALLY off day. Some things went down at work yesterday and it's not sitting well with me. I just keep going over things trying to figure it out. I honestly think it's time for a career shift. I feel stuck and it's getting to me.

Right on! Glad you got a great deal! I’m seeing the F-150 all day long pretty well equipped on Cargurus.com 2016 and 2017 for 33,000 or less. I’m not sure what the MSRP on your Ford was but that seems like a steep hit IMO.

I was just yanking you chain.....no ill intent. If you had a bad day, have a few cold ones, tomorrow is Friday after that the weekend for you to chill out and relax. Don't make any quick or spontaneous decisions about your job you later regret.

I catch Big 3 pickup guys staring at my truck all the time. At intersections, I’m safety checking at their face, they’re zoned in on the Tundra, no eye contact. It’s like I’m driving around in a big black cock.

Went through a drive through earlier and the guy complemented my Tundra! Said he would pick a Tundra any day. Just saying.
Anybody else love the sound of your engine when you hit the gas and that V8 just roars?!?

I can't get enough of my real V8 roaring. It sounds beautiful, even with the stock exhaust (can't afford a new one - in fact can't mod till I pay off the truck ;-) )

I have driven Chevy work trucks (yes, they were white) for around 30 years. They were okay. I mostly owned Ford 3/4t and ricer trucks for playing, hunting and camping. I absolutely love the sound of the Tundra V8 with the dual exhaust!

Neighbor down the road has a 2014 Chevy Z71 he traded it in for a 17 Tundra Texas edition, your telling me he owned the truck for 3 years and was happy with it enough to trade it in for a Tundra?!? Yeah he saw the beautiful MGM Tundra and said it’s time to trade in... he got a white one though. But a Tundra is a Tundra!

I want to know why the 2017 SR5 4Runner I rented had auto up and down on all five windows and my SR5 Tundra doesn't even have auto up on the drive window. WTF? Can we get that module installed on our truck?

Same here at Home Depot. He could not get over how good the truck looks. He drove a Chevy. Had rear window half way down. He said "wow the whole thing goes down". Best thing about Tundra is chicks love em. Daughter wanted to drive almost as soon as I got it home. Chicks at work were like man is that your new Tundra? And my daughter wants one.

Are you guys adjusting mirrors that much? I haven't touched that switch since the day I bought the truck, set the mirrors and was done. That might be why they don't light it, saves money on something most will only use once.

Every truck is going to have its issues or quirks, I had a 2014 Silvy before my Tundra and it treated me pretty well. It had small things that were fixed under warranty and a few recalls. I like my Tundra, it hasn't had any recalls but it had to have the most extensive warranty work out of any vehicle I have ever owned (cam tower seal). So who knows maybe Tundra is the best...

The fact that it has been a complaint for a long time makes it even worse. Toyota needs to listen to owners more. I send emails to them and they normally respond but not in the right way. Last one I sent it was obvious from their reply that they did not completely read it. I think they may have read the subject line only. Lighted mirror switch is not really a big deal for me. I am the only driver and know the switch by feel. Comes after owning 3 Toyota trucks.

Speaking of GM trucks how many have noticed the number of GMs that have the trim piece missing around the tailgate latch? Since a buddy could not get his opened while deer hunting I have noticed that many people have had the same problem.

I've owned Toyotas for 30 years, bought my Tundra for dependability and reliability, and the specific model - 4x4 CM for towing and driving across country. In fact I purposely did not get a Platinum because I don't want extra electronic features, I could care less, more shit to go out after warranty. One thing I overlooked, in fact didn't even think about was the (pathetic) payload, my fault I'll know better next time. You will run out of payload long before towing capacity, adding insult to injury I have a topper (which I love) on back as well, adding a couple hundred more pounds. The good news is that, it still performs flawlessly grossly overloaded.
