Another big reason I have my Tundra. I'm 6'8" and can fit comfortably in the back of my crewmax. I don't sit back there often, but my kids are on track to be pretty big themselves and they love it. The only other truck that comes close in rear seat legroom is the Ram MegaCab in the HD series. Actually, the Ford SuperDuty crew cab rear seat is fairly roomy as well. But both still fall short of the room in my CrewMax.

Owned a 2011 Sierra from new till 80,000kms. Great truck. Owned a 2013 F**" Fucked150 from 30,000kms to 75,000kms. Fuck the blue oval. Wife had a 2009 Ram from 50,000kms to 110,000kms. Meh.

I currently own a 2005 Tundra double cab with 160,000kms on it. Been 2 years so far and I have no reason at all to consider a new truck. Other than the jackasses here who keep posting sexy pics of their 3rd gen MGM crew max's....

    Tundra! Tundra! Tundra!

Ever had anybody drive by you and stare at your Tundra?!?! While they are driving by in their F150/Silverado/RAM??? Ever get compliments on your truck??? Can you roll down the back window???

A tundra does all of that!

While driving the Chevy around it didn’t feel like a truck, the interior reminded me of my Cruze.

Also at work we went to lunch together one day in the Tundra and my co workers are little 6 ft plus. And one of them was just chillin in the back all laid out. What other truck can you do that in.

Given everybody can have their own opinion and like what they like but for me a Tundra looks BA and it looks like a real truck! Yeah we don’t have all cool tech but we tell me what truck looks the best after doing some mods, a Tundra (Tacos look good too). A 4 Runner looks bad ass too.

Oh yeah the resale value is stupid! What other brand holds that well.

At the end of the day I love my Tundra and wouldn’t change a thing about it.

That's why I love my 1st gen. It's simple. I work for a Toyota dealership. I deal with customer complaints about blind spot monitoring and entune and sonar in the bumper and Jesus H Christ it gets old. All this crap just dumbs down the driver. Makes them dependent on the truck and doo-dads.

AMEN!!! I remember a thread on TT where someone was bitching about the newer Tundras not having a "snowflake" show up on the display when the temp got into the freezing regime. He had a temp display that would read external temps, but was all hurt that no snowflake showed up. WTF? Can you read numbers? Do you know when it is cold? Can you step outside and see that it might be crappy weather conditions?

I get into customers trucks that have it and turn it off if I have to drive it/move it into my bay. The beeping pisses me the hell off.

I concur. My 05 has almost everything I need and nothing I don't. Anything its lacking is minor, cheapish and easy to upgrade eg. Stereo headunit.

No one is making fun of your kid, attacking anything, or defecating in any cheerios (since we took looks off the table lol). It's just a car. I don't have a horse in this race, other than owing a hunk of metal. I don't go out to my garage and stare lustfully at my tundra while drinking a beer, talk to it, or talk about it any other place than here (except to complain how void it is of technology :) ).

To proclaim "Tundra wins" over all things Chevy I feel is a bit misleading and distorted, given what is actually out there on the market, in its class. I want to bring in some balance to the love fest, that's all. To poop on everything else because it's not Tundra and we're on a Tundra forum is kind of closed minded.

I think we all agree, what suits one best is in the eye of the beholder in this case. I will never say "my xyz is the best thing ever" because chances are, it's not. It might be the most reliable, highest tech or whatever trait, but if the perfect truck existed, we wouldn't have any competitors.

I agree, at 6'5, the leg room in the CrewMax is what ultimately pushed me from like to love on the Tundra.

You can when it works exactly as designed. But they think it should be different. You try to explain it to them in a way anyone could understand and they still get pissed off and tell you your wrong. Yea, I get angry. I've only been under the hood of cars for 21 years. 13 with Toyota. But. Hey. What the fuck do I know. I'm a lowly, peon technician.

Dude, calm down. You didn’t explain it like that. You said to turn your head around. If it works and they bring it in then I get the frustration.

My truck came with sonar (all MY18's do). It is a fun feature, but by no means do I rely on it. I grew up driving old school Ford E-250 work vans with almost no windows. I often towed 20' dump trailers with them. With that said, it is nice to have the doo-dads like sonar once you've learned to drive without them. I also love my backup camera, I thought I would hate it, but it keeps coming in handy, especially in the tight spaces of my work parking structure.

For the Big 3 you usually can get about 10K of MSRP (I bought plenty of them) unless it is a brand new model like the 2019 Ram. Next year it will have those discounts as well.

We do get the occasional really cool customer that you can actually sit and bullshit with and explain things too. But, they're few and far between. Perks of being the only Toyota dealership surrounded by uppity, gated community folks. It's a thankless job.
