I guess maybe my perception is a bit different than some... i dont "LOVE" my truck, or "LOVE" any of my vehicles. they dont have names or personal pronouns... they are machines, heaps of metal and parts to serve a purpose. be it a hobby, or a means of transportation.

one day they will depreciate to zero, or cease to function, as any machine will.

the point in my original post, is that to say the tundra "wins" is really stretching it, given the rest of the market.

Yea whatever. I would bet anything you have used the term “love” to describe something you own whether it’s a pair of pants or a good steak or... at the end of the day B it’s just a hunk of cow that forms a turd..

It does look as though the Toyota is lagging behind in the gas mileage department against the big three, and also the amenity department as the others are upgrading every two years it seams like. But I would, and did, trade all that for reliability and brute toughness. The only 1/2 ton I haven't had was the Ram, but have driven them for work. My last Chevy with the 5.3 had the engine replaced at 27k mile because of the AFM and carbon on the rings.

The Tundra beats them all in my opinion, might not be the most luxurious, get the best mileage or be the most up to date, but those are not the reasons I have a truck. I know they are not all the same, but my boss has 250k miles plus on his 2010 Tundra and hasn't done anything but fluids, brakes and tires. Good luck doing that with any of the other three and not be replacing wheel bearings, power steering pumps, water pumps, etc....

Well... my truck is named... as many others have named theirs also. Not the point. @Law323 is right though.

Bag on the Tundra all you want.... the rest of us enjoy what we have and would rather have the reliability over the "creature comforts" (which can be added for cheaper than purchasing it already pin your vehicle...). I dont want to drive a computer..... they don't last long sitting on my desk with me just doing work and school work....with proper maintenance and everything else. Why the hell would i want to add wheels to it???

Reality is Jersey, you shouldn't come rolling in talkn shit about a Tundra in a Tundra forum, especially when you own one and your in Tundras..com. You have some valid points, but that's why we love our Tundras. We don't need all the BS bells & whistles. Wait till the 4th Gen comes out then make a educated opinion:thumbsup:

I agree. I hope toyota addresses it too. so they can continue to produce the vehicle and not get crushed.
Just because i own something does not mean im like "OMG ITZ THE BEST S**T EVER!". its not. its a truck. its okay. it doesnt break and i like that. lets me do other stuff. lets keep it real here.

I think it’s just the way you wrote it vs. what point you were making ——-which most people seem to agree with @B737. Not that you care but just feedback

I bought a Lemon Toyota Corolla for my wife in 2009. I swore I would never buy another Toyota again. Bought my wife a Subaru after that. Turns out the boxer motor is inherently flawed and expensive to maintain. :spending: :bananadead: . When I got in my accident I really wanted and F150, but my broker talked me into a Tundra instead. . . best decision ever! Next car for my wife will be a 4runner:benchpress:.

Also, my mom is a Chevy gal . . . my dad got tired of always putting it back together. She drives a hyundai Santa Fe now. At least it has not had a single problem in the 70K miles she's had it.

@B737 Joins a Tundras forum, trashes the Tundra:

"Toyota wins??? on what? outdated technology? a front end design that might be the biggest automotive travesty ever committed? lack of features?"
"smoke any of Toyota's offerings as far as accelerating"
"F150 which kicks the tundras ass and the chevy as far as technology and comfort."
"our Tundras are in the stone ages."
"Our vehicles do not hold a candle."
"Every other full size beats the Tundra."
"gets better gas mileage than our junk"
    BUT STILL PURCHASES ONE??????alrightythen.jpg

I, personally, didnt buy a V8 Tundra for good gas mileage. Fuck good gas mileage. I can tow, haul and move shit with ease. Can go offroad too. All y'all saying the Tundra lacks the gas mileage of the big three, well, you're right. You cant drive a truck when its constantly in a state of repair at the dealership. Of course they get great gas mileage. They dont move!!!!

You want good MPG then buy a Prius. Save gas all you want. More for me!! I'll buy it and smile every time I start my V8.

Like my dad always said "that's why they make ford's and chevy's". Not everything is for everyone. My buddy thinks the new Titans are the best thing since sliced bread and I think they couldn't have possibly made an uglier truck if they tired... We all buy what we want and what fits our needs best. If you spent a small fortune on something and didn't do your due diligence then that's on you.
