I just spoke with someone who owns a Nissan Dealer up here in god's country and he said he knows personally that the Tundra redesign will be unveiled in February too. will likely change the exterior minimally, but add 8 speed. maybe bs? maybe not lol

It has to be a test mule imo. If you look at this picture, it looks as if the back window cannot be rolled down (no seal around edges?) Now if they got rid of that that would be a bummer!

It's a Frankenstein truck. Parts from everything, Dodge front bumper, Ford wheels, Tundra crew max cab, Tundra double cab back window, and chevy/gmc rear bumper. lmao

tesla has incredible ev tech. But dont forget that toyota revolutionized the hybrid world. They have the resources to go very very deep on r and d.

I doubt though that we will see a hybrid truck. People are already complaining about price. Nobody wants to spend 100k on a hybrid tundra.

No shame here, I want it to be a hybrid. 30mph combined, how is that a bad thing?

My 17 is getting run into the ground. All the newness wears off and it becomes another vehicle. The payments on vehicles these days is insane.

A buddy of mine is paying $700+ for his wife's Tundra. I remember not long ago when $200-$300 a month payments were common. The price of these things is getting absolutely ridiculous. Someone posted an article from Jalopnik earlier about exactly that.

I’ll look for it. With all of the “improvements” demanded by the consumer it makes me wonder if reliability will slip down closer to the big 3. The Tundra is reliable because it’s simple and it hasn’t changed. They seem to have destroyed the Taco with simple powertrain changes. Hopefully chasing the big 3 won’t do the same to the Tundra.

    Here ye be: https://jalopnik.com/the-trucks-are-too-damn-expensive-1833634970

I'm w/ya on the changes. I bought the Tundra because of its durability and reliability. Plus I've always liked the look since 07 anyhow.

    So it’s an AMC?
Because hybrids are the worst of both worlds?

In fact they are the antithesis of the age old engineering practice KISS.

The luxury land yachts of the 1970's have reemerged as luxury trucks.

Maybe we can get a luxury truck with 3rd row seat and a 2.5 ft bed?
