Toyota sold more than 17,600 Tacoma pickups and nearly 11,000 of its larger Tundra trucks in the U.S. last month. Those numbers represent year-over-year gains of 6.7 percent and 9.6 percent, respectively. That's a big step in the right direction for a company that’s had a tough time moving its trucks off of dealer lots over the last several months.

Through the first five months of 2017, Toyota (NYSE: TM) sold 79,226 Tacoma trucks and 43,809 Tundra vehicles. Year-to-date totals are still down 1.4 percent and 3.8 percent, respectively, from the same period in 2016 — despite the positive traction in May.

This is true.. as far as the sleek inside of the trucks Toyota is behind the others for sure.. I almost bought a Chevy for that reason but the cab room ans engine in the 1500 series won me over.. but they seriously need to redesign the interior
