That takes me back. My first truck was a '92 Extra cab 2x4 manual with a 22RE. Same color red. Same color interior.
And those horribly placed cup holders. You could have drinks or A/C, but not both. lol.

I saw this gem at a car show at the Red Mill Museum Village; It is a "Mini-Cruiser" obviously based on a 1986 Toyota 1-ton cab/chassis, and I initially thought it was a Dolphin, but the woman who owns it corrected me. The owner is an older woman who bought it from the original owner in 2016, after her husband died; The truck had just 22K original miles on it when she bought it for just $6,000. It now has about 60K miles on it; She drives it! She's drive it coast to coast and numerous places in between, and though it's incredibly slow, it's got a 22R and is just as reliable as you would expect! ENJOY!

First, I will take you inside the cab...

 

The truck does have working A/C that has been converted to R134a, but a blower motor has gone bad after nearly 40 years and the A/C is rather weak at the moment; There is no A/C in the camper part...

 

Less than 62K original miles!

 

Aftermarket cruise control that has does not work; In typical Toyota truck fashion, this one doesn't have intermittent wipers...

 

Aftermarket 1980s tape deck that recently quit working due to an electrical issue; Likely to be replaced...

 

I have peeked through the windows of numerous Toyota campers over the years, but I don't remember much about them, like whether or not they had features like power windows and intermittent wipers; This one is built on a fairly basic truck. It does not have intermittent wipers, and in this picture you can see it does not have digital clock that would normally be located to the right of the HVAC controls...

 

Look how clean it is!

 

The owner wants to replace the front seats...

This camper had two of these cheap Audiovox stereo cassettes; The one in the cab works, but will not turn on due to a yet-to-be-diagnosed electrical problem within the vehicle. As stated above, the one in the cab will likely be replaced with something that has Bluetooth, and I'd imagine that after nearly 40 years the speakers don't sound too good...

 

Water pump controls...

 

Rooftop A/C for the living quarters was of course optional, and it could be very easily added to this vehicle, but it does not have A/C; The owner has no desire to add A/C because she rare visits areas where it gets particularly hot (though it was in 90s on the day of the show and quite toasty inside the camper)...
