The owner let me sit in it; This Celica has just over 103K original miles and everything works, even the A/C!

 

I believe that A/C in this car is not factory, but OEM dealer-installed...

 

You would not believe this car was over 40 years old, even if you were sitting in it like I was!

 

Old school idiot lights; No newfangled CEL or diagnostic port in this car, since it's carbureted!

 

5 speeds plus 3 pedals equals near endless fun!

 

The radio presently in the car is not the original radio, though it looks stock to me; The owner had the original radio in the car and showed it to me...

 

Hand-crank manual sunroof!

 

With just over 103K miles, this engine isn't even broken in!

 

The current owner was told that the car was originally from California, but she doesn't believe it; I was reading the emissions control sticker under the hood in attempt to see if there were any clues as to whether or not this car originally sold in California. I couldn't tell if it had a smog pump under the hood...

 

I stopped at Fred Beans Toyota on the way home and looked at some of their inventory; Shortly after I arrived, this older couple in a new RAV4 showed up and we got to talking. They had recently traded in a 2016 DCSB TRD Sport and another newish Toyota that I forget the model of, allowing them to purchase the RAV4 outright with no cash changing hands (More on that Taco later); They are regular customers of this dealer and told me that this yellow 2022 Supra has been on the lot since November 2021. I am honestly surprised that this car has been sitting for more than six months, as I thought Supras were in demand; It is worth noting that this was the only new vehicle on the lot that didn't have a "Market Adjustment". The MSRP on this car is almost $60K, and even in this economy, I have a gut feeling that the typical Toyota shopper is more willing to spent sixty grand on an SUV than a 2-seat sports car; Even with the markup, the lone brand new T4R on the lot was like $13K cheaper than this car!
