She absolutely does - loves sitting up higher and the power. She's never driven a diesel so this summer we're going to do a test drive of one of the new ones - most likely a GM. The Tundra might be a tough sell after that

I nearly bought a Sierra Elevation with the 5.3 and the max trailering package until I read about all the brake failures that were happening.

The 5.3 does nothing for me, it's torquey but is missing the top end. The 6.2 is quite nice, but GM overall has left me very sour lately. I personally would go Ram for HD or if the Tundra wasn't what it is, but wife wants a V8 and despises Ford to the point she'd leave me if I bought one. So it'll be a test drive of a GM diesel so she gets to feel that power, hopefully doesn't get too addicted to it because after driving a diesel gas powerplants are just loud and don't feel all that powerful.

Personally I'd stay far away from any new diesel unless you plan to drop some money right away on getting rid of all the emissions equipment that has proven to clog the engine with soot. I had a diesel years ago before all the "clean diesel" propaganda and they are awesome but the new stuff is not worth the extra cash and extra cost in maintenance when you're not also going to get the extra life out of them. The new Ford 7.3 gas seems to be a great way to get all the extra power without the added headache of diesel emissions and DEF silliness. The Dodge Cummins forums have great info on emissions deletion and I had thought about going that route but you're talking about dropping a lot of money into a brand new truck voiding the warranty just to make it run how it should before the government ruined diesel.

Mine too. She’s been driving my 2017 Limited IN THE SNOW AND SALT and leaving the 2013 LX570 sitting in the driveway. I’m like “wait... that’s not you truck... now I have to spend like 4 hours washing it again!”

Cummins is a stout motor but I wouldn't trust the rest of the truck to give me 50k trouble free miles.

I have no temptation to go diesel on my own personal vehicle, we don't tow a heavy enough trailer for me to find it useful. The power can be addicting though and if that's what the wife wants I'm going to have a hard time to convince her to go with a hybrid Tundra.

So let me great this right... I had my oil at 10,000 and the pre-crash light kept coming on and told them at my oil change. They advised me they was going to blank it off and reset it. Well they did it and called today and told them it’s going back off and they will have the part in by February. Thought my truck being lifted probably helped with the issues but shock it’s in stock vehicles. Then he tells me I do have a recall and should have a fix by end of March. Now I may crash cause fuel pump. Glad I am setting up in the air. Watch out small cars. Lol. Oh well.. is what it is. Just sucks.

There are no 4.6 with 38 gallon tanks. The online parts listings aren’t a reliable source.

The Ford fanboys are having a field day on the Texas Fishing Forum. At least until someone posted a pic of a F150 EcoBurst being pushed. Then someone asked if anyone knew what the lip on the F150 tailgate was for? Makes it easier to push.
