Toyota is always looking for suggestions on what to do to the next gen Tundra. There's no place better to get direct feedback from Tundra enthusiast than Tundras.com members. So let's hear what you would want Toyota to change, add or make different in the future.

I've owned four Tundras and my biggest complaint is the stereo system is severally lacking. If I'm on the highway with windows down I can barely hear the music (JBL system).

So what's your suggestion for improvements?

To summarize, the truck is in need of: technology, power, traction, suspension, transmission upgrades. The price is also somewhat high for what you get in comparison to the big three.

Crewmax with a 6.5' bed. Full boxed frame wouldn't hurt either.

What do you mean by traction? Like a locker in the rear from the factory?

At least a high quality limited slip in all models and a true locker option in the Pro. As you know, the current Tundra has neither and relies on a brake actuated device.

    Not nearly enough room here!
Toyota could get SERIOUS and quit deleting features from past years! I really don't think they're concerned about competing with the American "badged" brands. My 2010 is prolly my last truck anyway and has been issue-free for the 75,000 miles I've owned it.......and I HAVE Driver's side grab handle, LIGHTS in the door bottoms, auto-up driver's side window (one of my many Mods) LED's everywhere and the list goes on.

Coming out of a Ram Laramie that had auto up and down the Tundra is way behind. My Laramie also had a backup camera and a cargo camera. The ignition was push button. The doors automatically opened when you put your hands on the handle. The stereo was much higher quality.

I recommend a 9 speed transmission like in the Mercedes. The 4.7 should have a twin turbo. The 5.7 should be kept as is for cost savings. A MDS system on all models. Whatever you do, don't put the pitiful Atchison cycle from the Tacoma on the Tundra. My biggest pet peave is the lack of a Diesel engine. If it were me I stiffen and lighten the frame and truck and install a Cummins 6.7L diesel mated to an Aisin transmission. If you do that it puts the Tundra light years ahead of the competition like it was in 2007.

Leather wrapped steering wheel, I mean even dodge gives you a leather wrapped steering wheel in the bighorn package.
Lighted widow switches with one touch up and down.
Auto headlights are nice, my 2011 dodge ram had those.
    LED projector headlights, its time.
    factory suspercharger option.
    8 speed transmission.
Ability to change the LED lighting color on your gauges and accessories, friends king ranch has that option, kind of cool.

Include the mapping software and all applicable updates for the navigation system. If Garmin can include it with my $300 handheld, Toyota can include it with my $40,000 truck.

While I agree with what most of you guys are saying. This is also what keeps the tundra less expensive than the big three. I was surprised at how much my truck cost next to the Tacoma I was looking at. I would like the stereo to sound a little better and not be such a rattletrap. And I would love the window switches to be lit or every button. But if they added everything you guys are talking about this truck would be ridiculously expensive.

Projection headlights should be a standard option for all Tundras. Even the tacamo has projection headlights.

Here is a comparison chart of Tundra versus the big three. This is posted by Toyota. Great way to compare the price, specs and various options side by side.

I wish that Toyota would make a heavy version and a lighter version of the truck.
