I am in the same situation. I get a military pension, a federal civil service pension and Social Security. I also have TriCare for life and medicare. A person has to eat a lot of shit sammiches to retire from the military. For that I thank you for your service.

I, however, will spend money on my truck and small wheels, big tires, expensive shocks, toppers, bumpers with lights and a winch. I am looking very forward to assembling and installing the bumper, lights and winch. I am not doing it to impress anyone but myself. I love off roading. I have wanted to build a truck like this all my life. I was just a mechanic that moved up through the ranks. I paid cash for my truck also. I should have taken advantage of a low interest loan and kept the money invested but it was an emotional decision to actually own it myself outright. It doesn't make either one of us better or smarter. We are just more fortunate than some.

 

I had a neighbor that did that and left me the bills. Smart man he was. I miss him dearly.

1 is relatively easy compared to 2. With 2, you and your wife are 1 on 1 with them and there are no breaks until they go to bed . We had our second last April so she is 14 months now.

That said, I have been told that after 2 its just kinda the same old same old.

 

If you space them out correctly, you can have the older ones raise the younger ones and then you and the wife can go on cruises and shit.
