I was getting that error. I can see the recall but when I click on Submit reimbursement it tries to create a new one instead of showing the one that was submitted.

Yeah I didn't like the idea of spending $6-700 on a hope Toyota would replace with factory LED's. So thanks for posting this. I'm thinking about submitting a claim for them to replace my halogens with factory LED's on the basis that there is no fix for the halogens, as of yet, and my truck and family are at risk of burning up. Thought's? May be worth a try?:)

They will say they won't do anything until an official fix is released. At least that is what they told me when I made that same argument.

Ok cool, thanks for letting me know. Seems that would be the easy way for them to fix this instead of paying engineers over months to come up with a fix, but what do I know?

Yep, that was my logic. Told them they could send parts to dealership so they could guarantee they were installed instead of me selling them on the side. That idea was also declined lol

I bought some Pro headlights during one of these past sales. Got 2 for the price my local dealerships charge for 1. Its totally worth the piece of mind.

An update to the claim I filed 10 weeks ago "after the recall announcement." My claim disappeared on the owners portal.... No idea? So I created a new one 2 days ago and got a response today asking for a copy of my title or registration, I replied with a copy and will update with what happens. The submission process looks different now, I guess that's what all the website being down stuff was about.

I'm going to call tomorrow. My claim doesn't show either but I want to make sure that they are still in the system.

I can't find a way to see submitted claims anymore with the website updates. But with my re-submission, I got an email and can click on my claim number which takes me to a separate login where I can check on my claim. This login uses the claim number and sends you a 10 minute code, it is separate from the owners portal.

I'll call them today and see what the deal is. Hopefully we don't all have to resubmit them.

Hopefully it won’t take them another 8 weeks to process the new claim .
I saved my previous claim number and when I called them they had it in the system.
Looks like they did a lousy job migrating to a new portal without getting the data properly migrated

Got another message after sending them the requested forms, up to 45 days for review lol, it's been 80 days since the last submission which said 4-6 weeks review I think. Oh well

I didn't waste time calling them. I resubmitted it a couple of hours ago and received an automated email with a reference number. I don't know why the claims don't show any more. Now I guess it will show 2 on their side.

I just called the dealer and asked about a solution to the recall. I was told a remedy had just been released and I’ll need to bring my truck to the dealer for them to evaluate.
They couldn’t tell me what the solution would be which is stupid but they’d need me to schedule 1-1.5 appointment.

Dealer just wants to hit you over the head with filter and other consumable refill bills…. and maybe fix the headlights or not…. lol

Yeah, I’ll pass for a bit. I do my own service, I hate going to any service center unless I really have to (I.e, tires and alignment)

Its posted on the Toyota website. They are checking the harnesses and replacing the harness if needed.

I haven't looked yet. Sounds like no chance of reimbursement or would reimbursement cover the cost of not needing a harness swap since he headlights were swapped?

Unsure how this will affect existing claims. This is what I see. I bet they will just change harnesses but if your headlights are damaged it does sound like they would replace them.

The only terminology that changed is under status that now says remedy available. Everything else on the same.

Ah. Last I remember looking they had nothing in the remedy field.
