looking for a commuter car since we just sold our old civic and thinking of getting a Toyota lease this time. Thinking Camry.
Any tips on best pricing and if it's worth it ? not planning on buying the car, just using it for commuting.

You can haggle the price just as you would if you were buying. Once you have the price determined, just tell them you want to lease. But make sure your payments x 36 + residual value = that price. Sometimes they'll try to sneak in some fees or interest.

Miles. Since it's for commuting, check if lease is for 10, 12 or 15K miles per year so you don't have to pay for excess at the end of the lease.
Leasing is worth it in the sense that your monthly pmt may be lower than if you bought since you are financing depreciation. And car remains under warranty under the terms of the lease.

"Gaurenteed to be valued at 30k or more after 3 years", is how the sales men tried to sell me on a lease.

Don't like not being able to do things to vehicles I drive daily.

Evidently the contracts they have here says you can't modify in anyway shape or form.

    Just my 2 cents anyway.

Edit: also it's paid off after X amount of years. No more vehicle payment looks tempting.

As others have said you can haggle on the price just like buying a car.

Dealers might tell you the car will be worth x amount of dollars at the end but honestly no one really knows. If you go Toyota you'll probably build some equity in your car. You can also sell the car private party/ to another dealer toward the end of your lease.

My only other advise is to watch your miles.

Not true. As mentioned above you can build equity in a car. Just depends on the deal, car, etc.

Pretty much unless you can deduct lease payments from your taxes as a business expense, research suggests it doesn't make a lot of financial sense to lease. Unless you are wealthy and are fine with a lease payment on a new car for thE rest of your life - have at it. Toyotas retain value so much, just buy. Especially if you have cash to buy or there is 0%.
