Not at all. I have a 2018 and have already put over 60k on it. I bought my platinum for $52 OTD. That is not expensive in todays truck world. I have had zero issues, it sounds fantastic, rides good and gets lots of compliments as these are still the best looking modded truck on the road.

Lol! Riled up he says. If this is riled up, we need to try harder. Hop on the F150 forum and post a legitimate complaint about Ford trucks, something like "my fuel gauge failed, Ford said that's normal. Wtf? Any one know what happened??" . You'll be called a liar, you'll be insulted in ways you can't imagine, you'll be threatened both in the open board and via PM and then you'll probably get banned. That was my experience anyway.

Yeah....nobody on this board has ever been banned for sharing their dissenting opinion regarding Toyota on this forum.

The fanboys jump out in droves on this forum if you even hint that you think the Tundra isn't the best thing since sliced bread.

I haven't commented much on the forums, I mostly just dream about what I will do with what everyone has already done, but I can honestly say I have nothing but love for my Tundra. It is an amazing truck. I can't get the grin off my face every time I drive it.

    Toyota dropped the ball
First let me start by saying that I drive for a living. Approximately 100,000 to 120,000 miles per year. I Purchased new vehicles approximately every two years. I Purchased this 1794 model in December 2018.As of this date I currently have 124,000 miles on it. With that being said I have had a multitude of different vehicles through the years. I feel that Toyota has dropped the ball on several different levels because of the followin:
The front seats are like sitting on sacks of concrete. Hard as a rock when you are traveling 1000 miles a day at times. The stereo system is horrible. I have upgraded the speakers to better JBL‘s, an amp, and the bass speaker. if the Toyota symbol on the grill gets the slightest bit dirty, the cruise control and safety features do not function. The plastic scratches very easily and I cannot remove the scratches or hide them. There is no storage under the backseats. It does not alert me when it is getting close to an oil change time, or possibly I just have not figured this out yet. Mechanically I think this tundra is superb. I love that the entire back window opens, I love the pep of the eight cylinder engine. However, it is quite the gas hog. I average approximately 16 miles to the gallon traveling all over the United States. I love the roomy crew cab. As I mentioned earlier I have replaced the stereo system, I have also installed 1000 W power inverter with an outlet installed in the back of the console. I have installed a deep cell battery because of the equipment I run on my truck. The alternator is sufficient stock. I believe I have every option on this truck except the locking tailgate which I wish I had gotten.

If you cared to expound on your "several different levels" vagueness you could actually get some constructive debate going, but I digress....

i agree. However coming from being active on several other forums there are 2 that stand above the rest in my opinion. Tundras.com and LS1tech. Everyone has their fanboys but this forum is worth it given how much knowledge gets freely shared.

I did not come into this forum to get bashed I just simply wanted to know others opinions. Yes I am female, I have a CDL and have owned my own company for over 20 years. I have switched over to doing Pilot Car work to get out of a truck as I’m getting older. I do more miles in reverse than most of you do going forward. Thank you all for being so crappy to me.

Sorry for the sour reception. Normally these types of FIRST posts are spam related. If you were serious then all I can personally say is, no, I love my Tundra and don’t feel they dropped the ball.
I’d suggest an introduction post. People are very welcoming here and willing to listen to your opinion. It’s all how you go about it.

    So, welcome from CO.

I agree there are probably alot of more high end creature comforts lacking compared to some other makes, but I bought a bone stock sr with wheels and black emblems because I knew I was going to be adding alot of my own components. Just wanted the reliability and long term use out of the truck as i dont really plan to get rid of it anytime soon
