I recently bought a used Tundra from the dealer at 48,000 miles. Opted for the dealers extended warranty.
Only issue I had, was when I first towed camper, I was pummeled with a warning of Trailer Disconnected.
Turns out I found a TSB through the NHTSA that some 2019 Tundras may have a coding error in the brake controller and need an update. My vehicle fell within the vin numbers for it.
Previous owner never towed, and there wasn't a scratch in the hitch.

What pissed me off, is having to pay $230 on a truck I just bought a few months earlier to update a FACTORY Error. Of course the dealer warranty doesn't cover software. Toyota states in the TSB that it is covered to 30,000 miles, leaving a poor sap like me in the open.
Toyota doesn't consider it a safety issue.
How is the loss of trailer brakes when pulling 5,000 lbs, not a safety issue?

The TSB that I pointed out to dealer did fix the problem and the dealer got an earful. An update as important as that should be lifetime or made a recall.

Otherwise, I love my new used vehicle.

When you go onto the dealer, tell them what your truck is doing. i.e. bottoms out with airbags or hesitates while driving. Let them diagnose it. That’s their responsibility. Going in and asking them to perform a TSB is self diagnosing and they get a lot of that, often incorrect diagnosis. Ask any Toyota Master Tech how many times they get a customer’s diagnosis and after spending time, find out the customer is incorrect. The hazards of FaceBook experts or online forums.

Dealer: "we held your vehicle through the weekend and were unable to replicate the issue, here are the keys back bye bye now fuck off"

i have had to insist over and over again at dealerships to get them to do wor they're supposed to do, especially with warranties and TSB
