I just purchased a set of Toyota, chrome step bars or should I says part of the purchase of a 2014 Tundra SR5. What i was wondering is: the ends of the bars are open, sort of like the an exhaust pipe ! I would think since the ends are open, all sorts of crap or bee's or mud could end up in the bars........ Has anybody experience any issues with these factory step bars ?

    Welcome!

Im sure they make end caps for them. I wouldn't worry too much about mud and such...presuming you bought those you probably aren't doing much wheeling as those don't hold a candle to sliders and will not serve much, if any of protection.

Have you had a chance to check Amazon?

I agree, should be end caps. Might do some searching online or ask the dealer for the caps.

I would ask the dealer for end caps, I'm guessing someone forgot to put them on. You don't want road salt and other junk getting in there.
