Yeah, I haven’t been to a good KFC since I moved to Texas.

 

Yeah, I think that is why I didn't think they existed. Seems like they are not well run out here and therefore they never get suggested since there are countless other well rated chicken places to go.

 

So my favorite chicken sammie was when Popeyes first came out with them. They were amazing. However, their quality went to shit. KFC's quality is shit. You should be able to go into any Popeyes or KFC or whatever chain in the country and all of their food should taste the same and have the same quality. That's where Chick-fil-a kicks everybody's ass. Their quality control is top notch.

This is true. It's definitely a gamble with most franchises, but Chick-fil-a is very consistent.

Several have closed down near me. Overpriced. A Popeyes near me closed. Reasonably priced but overcooked. Just meh. Churches is my go to now.

 

That wouldn't make the border pukes squirrelly at all.

I honestly can't figure out what the issue is. I've gotten stuff from the US lots of times. @gosolo sent me a knife, it made it. @War Machine has sent me stuff, it made it. Secret Santa stuff has made it. @ToyoMafia has sent some stuff that made it. I've sent stuff south and all but one package got where it was supposed to.

It seems like it's just the slaps that never get across the line. I got the shirt from my last order, but the slaps never showed up.

 

In 84-87 there was a Brownies Canadian Chicken franchise I'd hit up a lot when I lived in Manila, PI. Was quite decent. Are the actual Canadian Brownies in well liked?

I licked the Alamo slap for breakfast, then went to the office.

I went to two Cubs games last week. Lost both. One strike away in game two.

 

I thought we had a shot at a wildcard spot a few weeks ago, but then the Cubs did their usual shitting of the bed in September.

That's right. That run was fun and there was hope until there wasn't.

We didn't go to game three (which we won), so we could focus on the Bears Sunday night. That worked out great.

About 20 years ago I licked a slap and went to a Cubs game. I don’t care much for baseball so I was listening to some Skynyrd on my Walkman. I hallucinated that I almost caught a foul ball and for some reason everybody was mad about it.

 

Not a great time to be a Chicago sports fan. But also pretty par for the course.

I had a similar experience. I licked a slap and thought Moises Alou peed on his hands.

 

Still no better experience than watching Cubs at Wrigley IMO. Took my daughter there for her 21st to watch Padres - Cubs. One of the best memories I have.

 

I had to leave after I licked another slap and ate a homeless guy’s face.
