    There’s 3 things for success:
    1) mitigation of the air shock when the projectile leaves the muzzle (subsonic)
    2) reducing the clatter of the mechanism cycling by closing the gas valve. Essentially requiring a manual reload after each fire
    3) control of the gas release when the projectile leaves the muzzle.
    All of these are separate issues.
    Just saying….
