Is that the call for a sasquatch hand job? Or is it just the environment and guys attire that's throwing me off?

That's how I started, but it was about to rain and I quit. The razor knife was taking longer than I thought it would on the Line-X.

idk if yours is thicker or something, but i did 2 of them and it wasn't hard. i had a new blade, not sure that makes a difference. maybe your liner is different than mine was in some kind of way.:notsure:

New blade, I spent about five minutes trying to cut around the bolt head. When I got nowhere with that I tried around the base, still no joy. I used a small chisel to try to at least get the torx socket clear and failed at that too. I'll wait until I have plenty of time, I don't want to end up with a bunch of bare metal that sits for a while.
My liner is Line-X Premium. Looking at the hardness, that's what it felt like, trying to cut really tough rubber.

Check the build link in my signature.
I use a blade to shave it off the bolt head, then a pick/hook set to peel out out of the torx socket. Unscrew the bolt and it will pull out through the liner, then used the blade to cut it off flush with the old tie-down. Finally popped off the tie down and did some more gentle trimming to get the liner flush.

i did the same with the inside of the head. used a pick to pick it out of the torx and that allowed me to finish it.

I used an X-acto knife; it seems to work better than a standard box cutter or razor knife for some reason...

I'll try that. I also have single edged razor blades. I was going to try this evening but the boss wanted beer and wings. Can't say no to that.

There's a reason you have money to dump into an FJ, play around making stickers and pretend to work for an events company (those are all really your own parties). Mrs. Toyomafia makes bank.
