Wishing you the best of luck, back pain is the worst but at least you got a crew here you can lean on. You’re right as well, the older you get the faster the years fly by.

    Cheers man.
I’m on week 2 of getting my ass back into the gym (it’s in my garage) 5-days a week. Carrying ~35# more than I should be into age 45, I needed to finally do something about it.

I tried in Dec/Nov to jump into an old routine (from ~10 yrs ago) and promptly fucked myself up. So right now it’s mostly bodyweight movements and then slowly adding more weight to rebuild low back strength (and pretty much everything else too). Jesus, even doing moderate volumes of full push-ups is tough.

At least they delivered your package to the right fucking address.

in the past month we have had no less than 6 pieces of mail and 4 packages delivered to different addresses, and have received in our mailbox 4 pieces of mail meant for someone else.

We’re still trying to actually receive one of those packages (who knows what the people that did receive it did with it), and have another mail item missing that we can’t prove where it went because there is no tracking and it should have arrived too far back to show up in “informed delivery”

I wish I could partake in THC.
In my younger years when I did smoke pot I hardly drank alcohol.
Never had a problem with my weight.
Hell, I weighed 185 when I was 25, that was 60 pounds ago..

But in 1994 my job changed to random drug testing under the DOT and had to cut it out.
Started drinking more but was working out back then.

It really wasn't until I turned 50 in 2012 that I started gaining noticeable weight.
The older you get, the more the body seems to hold on to the fat.

Walking is good, it's one of the only things that feels good.
When I had a L4/L5 microdiscectomy in 1994 at 32, I was in better shape after the rehab than I was before I had the surgery.
A lot of that had to do with walking and bike riding during my rehab.

I need to drink more water.
My main daily intake consists of 1/2 and 1/2 iced tea during the day and beer at night.
Gonna cut the beer out after this weekend.

I cut out the beer in 2020 for October and November and lost 35 pounds.
Felt better, the clothes fit a little looser, it was great.
Not sure what drew me back into having 3 or 5 beers everynight.
But I do know the beer drinking is just a habit.
    I don't need it, I don't crave it, it's just habit.

When I stopped it before I drank a couple or few Topo Chicos after work.
They satisfied my craving to drink something carbonated I guess.
Gonna start that again Sunday night.

Thank you to all for the support.
    I'm gonna be alright.
Pretty sure getting some weight off and getting stronger will fix this.

Putting it all out here will help me stick to it.
I know y'all can tell when I've had a few beers posting on the site.

I'm an ass anyway, but much more of an ass if I'd had a few beers..
    That's why I haven't drunk liquor in 20 years..

Drinking liquor I'd either be the happy guy or the complete a-hole everyone wanted to bitch slap so I gave it up around 2002.
More often than not I'd be the bitch slap guy over the happy guy..:eek2:

I'd bet some of would like to bitch slap me after a few beers.
Even a few more of you that would like to bitch slap me when I'm sober...

Love you guys, best thread ever in my 18 years of forum participation..
