I will definitely take him back for a overnight when it warms up more; that’s the beauty of that hike, it’s so short but so rewarding, so we usually eat like kings; ribeyes(or uglies) mushrooms, corn, literally whatever you want to “hike” in
My one buddy brought a pan and a tri tip!!!
We usually also bring a guitar or some music speaker, because no one usually spends the night; that’s why we always bag on “the day hiker” hahah

I was interested in the Romero Pools overnighter but now I’m not so sure…

Lots of sand in the big pools so it’s kinda cool….. but no jumping spots now. The water was definitely cold AF snow melt.
I don’t know if I’ve been up to the pools in the summerish time; my only worry would not being able to pump water to drink

I've killed half a dozen Vortex optics from Sparc red dots to Razor scopes. Never managed to kill a Bushnell optic.
