Glamping was a fine time. Catching up, so way late on these...

What the chrome nose on the 22 looks like to me:

It's near Pittsburg, TX on Bob Sandlin lake. Any serious takers can get the addy next time we're headed out, and I'll pour you some whisky when you get there.

Met a former TX State Trooper who runs a little burger dive and is ramping his brewery into commercial production. I'll try to get y'all samples, but it might be a year or more out. Anvil Brewing Those of us not gluten handicapped declared their Bitters and blonde ale winners. But their offer of the premises as a wedding venue will probably require a particular kind of bride.

Is that not just a field repair unit collecting spare parts for a remote monitoring device?

    a) is there such a thing as soft eggnog? Is that over-easy egg nog?
    b)TWSS

It's a north of north and colder than cold kind of guy who would think moving from wherever they are to Wyoming makes them a snowbird... I'd always thought of either AZ or FLA as the place a snowbird would land. Also, congrats on your new status as having the coolest username on Tundras.com.

So this was my slice of heaven this weekend. We got a flyby from two black hawk helis that had to have been under 100ft elevation at about 8am, pretty sure everyone got chub. Went to this cool railroad bridge, and then drove to see coke ovens, whatever those are?
Only down side was we were camping in this stupid fine “moon dust” I’m soooo filthy! 452129F5-557A-45EC-BE2A-574534854E6A.jpg3D26DB9C-9919-4A67-BB0B-7ADBD44E788F.jpgBCB77C82-E517-4138-BEAB-6C7A309F5ADB.jpgECB352C7-A5D1-4DF8-B46C-53AE2D580B19.jpgF7D49860-3042-4EA7-9D28-C94D320BB29E.jpg279F212D-DF28-4C01-B9C4-A37823F429C9.jpg8F9DDEDA-ACB1-4DE9-B899-2B9960ADE6B3.jpg279E7908-058D-4F09-8F57-4FEFCA18D153.jpg0C2E5EE7-1CE4-442D-9131-C82BA9D5066F.jpg582A5B71-68E0-4679-A7C6-AC4B2DDC1E97.jpg2F04244E-9DD2-434F-AA6B-3D44824A7509.jpgC83FE710-C02B-4C53-9CBD-4E36FC4E1807.jpgB3FB28E9-442B-4678-B29C-B6D7A2A569E5.jpg38EB2077-EA2E-4B7E-A5F5-20BDC24225B6.jpg6320E103-559F-4FDB-A8D4-7EC279219617.jpgCEBB6D97-7355-4909-A9A9-6B7DFBF50054.jpg

Lol it’s kinda sketchy with 2 size 12 feet too. But yeah I don’t think I’d take a pup across that.

These are some from when I was out there in Feb and March this year

 Wyoming has to be warmer than here.lol but the main reason for thinking about there is they have the least amount of people, and I have seen some pics posted on here, it is a beautiful place, almost looks like AK.

Thanks man, appreciate that! I really dig my new username, that was pretty damn cool the way that played out. Awesome people made shit happen on here!

Be warned, lots of the really pretty spots are in the more heavily populated locations. Jackson (Tetons/Yellowstone area) might as well be California, and it is seeping out along the Northern and Western borders. Also, registering a vehicle here is expensive. Offset by no state income tax, but there are transplants that are trying to change that.

We're deeply rooted here,It'll be years before we get to make any kind of decision on where to fly our snowbird ass's. I already know the wife will put up a fight about Wyoming,.lol you guys have snow/cold too, probably just not to the extremes as here.
Unfortunately it seems like everywhere nice is getting overtaken by "that type" including AK.

You say that until you are in our wind. General rule, Wyoming isn't cold unless the wind is blowing. I'll be outside in a t shirt and shorts when it's 20* as long as the sun is out and there's no wind. On the flipside, when it's 65* out and the wind is up... that just cuts straight to the bone. I've had people from Alaska come through and complain that it's cold here, BUT they aren't usually from the parts of AK that are humid and cold. Humid cold is a different animal, and it's got rabies.

Seems like the most significant thing would be getting longer days in the winter!

Yeah humidity and wind are a bitch! Little wind in the summer is a must, it keeps the bugs at bay and cools it down a little bit. But in the winter,no thanks, like you said, cuts right through you no matter what kinda gear you have on.

We moved to Oregon from AZ, and the shift in latitude makes so much difference in the days. We’re loving having 4 REAL seasons though.

@Dr Doobie - waiting for Mrs. Bandito to finishing showering so we can watch Hawkeye and I thought I'd brand you. Nothing special - based it off of the old "Dr Pepper" logo. Hope you like it.
