Not really much skill, but like lots of things on the ‘modern’ truck, cheap plastic clips that are easy to break. If I remember correctly, there’s basic directions and an arrow molded into the plastic that you can see with a flashlight.

New little tradition. Whenever we camp at a state park with a gift shop, I buy a couple of cut open yourself geodes. Only costs a couple of bucks, this time the small ones were the better ones (definitely not what she said).

Always nice to get one's rocks off, eh? :D

Do you have a post or thread somewhere with details about what you used to cut the geodes? I assume some type of rock saw, but I know nothing about them and I'm feeling curious.

Probably had to remove the engine to get to it. A few years back, my neighbor was trying to change the battery on his Cavalier and had to practically disassemble the car to get to it. There were freakin' hoses everywhere.

My '05 Stratus had the batter down in the bumper in front of the driver side tire. You had to take off the wheel and pop off the fender lining to get to it. That was a job I let Wal-mart do because they did free installation with a battery purchase. When they said that I was like "Oh really?" but in my head I was thinking "BAHAHAHA SUCKERS!"

A few years ago when I had my granite countertops installed I kept the leftover pieces and asked them what I should use to cut it if I needed. The guy said that they have industrial shit at the shop but for small adjustments on-site they just use a small 4" diamond blade on a grinder and gave me one that was getting worn out. I just use that same old blade on my cordless Ryobi grinder.

We had an artificial from when the kids were young. There is a tree shortage here, so all the lots and farms are price gouging, so we took this year off from real. Back to a farm next year. The desirable ones for Christmas don’t grow naturally here, so I can’t grab one from the park

Sounds like there's a tree shortage here too, we've always gone up in the mountains for either a grand or noble fir. $5 permit
What do you have for fir trees up that way?

Really sorry to hear that. But it was pretty common back then. Fortunately it's gotten much better.

No natural firs. Pretty much white pines and hemlocks are native.

Back in my 20’s, I really liked those rum drinks served in coconuts, pineapples, or tropical melons. Cute little umbrellas. Sometimes they had flames. Those bars would bring little hibachi grills and you could cook ‘monkey on a stick’ kabobs at your table……..
But, damn, those were really bad hangovers! Rum is fun but the hangovers are the worst

lol, I usually sip scotch after dinner. Any time I find some still in the glass by my armchair in the morning, I pour into my first cup of coffee! Do I drink too much? Probably. Do I give a f***?. Maybe…not
