Those were the days my friend. When I first started out as a Tech, my Fathers best friend and business partner had two Vette's. An original 56 with a 6 Cylinder, and a 64 with a 327 4 speed. He was the coolest most carefree guy you would ever meet. I worked on his cars for free, and for payment, I could take them out whenever ever I wanted to. Goddamn I miss those days.

I wasn't really interested in the 56, but a few years later he had the 64 for sale for 12K and I was first in line. I didn't have the resources, and totally missed out on a great deal. He ended up selling both as a package for $32.500.

it's crazy how people used to pay others to come hunt their land to eradicate these guys. now they realized they could make money off of people that love to hunt and decided to flip it and charge them to come hunt....and it works! haha. i would love to do a flying hunt like that

Laws are a smidge convoluted; but generally for feral pigs and coyotes, no license needed as long as it's on private property (about 95% of the state is private property). That doesn't apply if it's a lease / paid hunt; not because it's a pig, but because a paid hunting arrangement requires the hunter to have a license. There's also no bag, and no time of day restrictions. People born after 1971 have to have proof of a hunter safety course, though.

I've always thought it was funny that you have to have a hunting license in Texas to gig a frog...
