My father-in-law didn't have much when he passed, but I did find that Trans Am on a shelf in his mechanic shop.

The Dale car was one of my son's toys in the mid to late 1990s.
I have about 100 of his hot wheels and matchbox cars, a bunch of his Legos, and some other toys on a storage bin in the attic.
He doesn't even know it, I'll give it him one of these days.

LEO stuff I've just collected over the years.
Growing up in Dallas, and Texas, and the kids growing up in Mesquite.
Gotta couple more on the second shelf, too dark to see in that pic.

I used to collect toy semi trucks and have a big box full of them in the attic too.

I'm off to bed gents.

I had nothing to do with it. This is a product of what we are all about. Nice job cru nice fucking job.

 

Long night when the ring gear breaks free from the flywheel but she is pit-crafted back together for elimination rounds in 8 hours.

I grew up with Neil Bonnett’s daughter.
He was best friends with Dale Sr.
I have some great stories about them two that I will share at some point.
Most are “R” rated.
Just the amount of alcohol they would consume the night before a race was insane.

 

Wife and daughters banned me from getting on the roof somewhere around 2015-2016.

I usually do it the Sunday after.

I actually wear a roofers harness while I’m up there. Working for the state has some advantages

Ha! I’m the same way. I still have my old harness, lanyard and safety rope from when I did iron work.
Fortunately, our roof is on a 12/12 pitch.
My wife doesn’t ask me to do that anymore.

I'll probably put up lights this week though. Purely for selfish reasons, weather is looking good and the snow we got last week should be mostly gone.

That’s the only reason I was hanging mine, not to many 50* days left, rather do it whiles it warm. They won’t get plugged in until at least Dec 1, later if I can

After messaging Secret Santa, he told me the names weren't given out yet.
I believe they were given out today.

So, one of you awesome guys did that for me and the St Jude kiddos.
It is very much appreciated.

I know what state it came from, but I'm not to look into who did it.
I'm just going to appreciate your kind gesture.

Despite my wife's occasional eye rolls when I'm sitting at my desk on this thread, she now realizes what a great group of guys I'm hanging out with here.
It was her that got me into St Jude's in the first place...
