I've been using this forum wrong the whole time...

 

Reminds me of the time I made the mistake of looking at the epidural needle before my C-section. How the actual hell do women in labor get that damn thing shoved in their spine?

 

The OP is such a tease, though. He didn't even show pics off his 5 inches until I asked.

 

My wife tried getting through labor without the epidural. Then she really wanted the epidural, until it was time to do the epidural... I felt really bad for her. Until she crushed my hand and screamed at me, anyway. Then we were basically even in my eyes.

 

Momma bear popped both ours out without the epidural but she gave herself a bloody nose and blood vessels ruptured in her eyes during the pushing. It made for some interesting first pictures

 

geez, there's so much stuff set up on a tee for "inappropriate comments", but i'll keep them to myself....for once.

 

That's crazy.

My #2 kid came so quick, my wife had her 100% drug free about 30 minutes after getting to the ER.
She's a rockstar.

My wife found the NOS worked for her after initially scoffing at it. She's on the fence about an epidural for our second one.

 

My older sister wanted the 'no drugs' birth with her first. Petechial hemorrhaging (yes, I copied and pasted for spelling) from pushing turned her entire face a giant bruise for 2 or 3 days. Her second was the 'all drug olympics'.

 

@Outbound - don't let the woman see this post, or any of the others talking about birth being hard. In fact, we'll send you an "all clear" alert when the birthing talk is over.

 

I just called to tell my Mom, I loved her and then thanked my wife.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who remembers it that way.

 

The first was the worst day of my life at that point. Just an absolute nightmare. Awesome when it was over. The 2nd was super easy, especially for me. ​

 

i've learned i can't really talk about my wife's birthing stories cuz she honestly has really good stories.
doc usually tells me i paved a hell of a path for the baby then gives me a high five.
